Friday, January 10
*8:02 AM – A Brownwood Police officer located a vending machine in the 1800 block of Belle Plain, Fast Lane Carwash, which had been burglarized. The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.
*10:01 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Chandler regarding identification theft.
*12:21 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding a burglary of a coin operated machine. According to the report, the property manager stated that an unknown subject had broken into the soda machine between the hours of 5:00 p.m. on January 9th and 8:00 a.m. on January 10th and taken approximately $30.00 in coins. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Dakota Michael Cross of May for theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Early Police arrested 19-year-old Zachary Delarosa of Early on a Tom Green County warrant.
*50-year-old Gary Wayne Laird turned himself in on warrants related to two counts burglary of a vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Patrick Michael O’Connor on a warrant related to failure to appear/motion to revoke/driving while license invalid.
*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old James Kristopher Simmons of Menard for theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 20-year-old Jackson Brook Weekley on warrants related to driving without lights and no driver’s license.
Saturday, January 11
*1:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding the theft of a Hello Kitty electric motorized car. According to the report, the complainant stated that two male subjects took merchandise outside of the store and when contacted by Wal-Mart asset protection left the store.
*6:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a suspicious situation. According to the report, a man was laying on the ground yelling at passersby. An officer arrived and determined that the male, identified as 45-year-old Brian Carter, was intoxicated, the report states. Carter was arrested for public intoxication.
*6:15 PM – 6:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Main Blvd. regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative and one of his friends stole cash from her residence while visiting.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle which was swerving across the white fog line on the roadway. According to the report, the driver identified as 23-year-old Jordanne Nail of Austin was advised of her violation and talking to her, the deputy noticed a smell of fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted which found passenger 23-year-old Amanda Mendoza of Austin to be in possession of 2 grams of marijuana which was in her purse and later 1 gram of cocaine which was found in her bra during a search at the jail, the report states. Also found was 3 grams of marijuana, 0.5 grams of Adderall, and 0.9 grams of Xanax in Nail’s luggage, according to the deputy’s report. Additional passengers 36-year-old Daniel Dearth and 27-year-old Marco Salcido, both of Austin, were found to be in possession of 7 grams of marijuana which was located behind the driver’s seat in a storage pocket that both had access to, according to the deputy. All four were arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail. Amanda Mendoza was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or less than 1 gram. Jordanne Nail was charged with two counts possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces. Marco Salcido and Daniel Dearth were charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Amado Arriaga for sexual assault with object. Arriaga was released from the Brown County Jail on $20,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Martin Edward Leon on a Tom Green County warrant for burglary of a building.
*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Brett Lee O’Dell on a Travis County warrant for driving while license invalid.
*22-year-old Mylia Elizabeth Shipman of Comanche turned herself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.
*Early Police arrested 31-year-old Shannon Logan Thomas for criminal trespass.
Sunday, January 12
*11:30 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Main Street regarding the theft of a debit card. According to the report, the complainant stated her debit card had been mailed to her previous address and that an unknown person had activated and used it without her consent. The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.
*5:44 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 14th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. The incident is pending further investigation.
*6:59 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Waco Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, one of the subjects involved in the incident had been in a public place while intoxicated and posed a danger to herself and others. The female subject, identified as 49-year-old Julie Inez Gotcher, was subsequently arrested and charged with public intoxication.
*11:36 PM – Brownwood Police was on patrol when he was flagged down in the area of Coggin Avenue and 4th Street by a male who wanted to report an assault. During an investigation, it was determined that a male was assaulted by his girlfriend at a residence in Brownwood.
*28-year-old Amy Elizabeth Allison was arrested on a warrant for motion to adjudicate/manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 4 gram less than 200 grams.
*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Forrest Tyler Lee Brown on a warrant related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to the report, the warrant was issued for the January 9th assault by Brown on a relative. Police reports state that Brown and a relative had an argument over his use of the family car and that he later returned to the home where he allegedly attacked the relative (victim) with a foot long wooden board and his fists. The victim was able to escape from the home and sought help at a neighbor’s home, the report states. Police were called to the scene at approximately 12:02 a.m. The victim was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries which included a cut to her eye, which was purple and had swollen shut, and bruising on her body, the report states. The victim stated that she believed Brown was possibly under the influence of drugs and the report stated that police saw evidence of drug use in multiple rooms of the house that where they live, the report states. Brown is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Alexander Villareal on warrants related to two counts speeding, violate promise to appear, open container, and no driver’s license.
Monday, January 13
*1:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, both parties had gotten physical with each other. The incident was settled by separation of the parties for the night, the report states.
