Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, January 12 and Thursday, January 13, 2011.

Monday, January 10

*2:42pm – Brownwood Police received a report from a male complainant regarding stolen property.  He told police that a number of power tools had been stolen from the toolbox in his truck over the weekend.  Police are investigating

*7:09pm – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Southside regarding possible fraud.  The complainant told police that he was alerted by a loan company of several small loans in his name that had defaulted from Odessa that he denies applying for.  This incident is under investigation.

Tuesday, January 11

*8:57am – A complainant reported to Brownwood Police that she had located some items that were stolen from her at a local pawn shop and wanted to recover her property and file charges on a suspect.  Police made contact with the pawn shop and a hold was placed on the items.  The investigation continues.

*1:29pm – A complainant filed a report with Brownwood Police regarding a possible forgery.  The complainant provided police a copy of a forged check and a police report for another county regarding her purse being stolen last year.  Police are investigating.  

*2:55pm – Brownwood Police were called to Hastings at 600 Center Avenue regarding a possible theft. Police issued a criminal trespass warning to a subject and a citation for theft under $50.

Wednesday, January 12

*7:50pm – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies and fire crews responded to a report of a vehicle on fire on Hwy 45 and County Road  236 south of Brownwood.   Deputies arrived to find a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in the area.  The driver reported that the vehicle caught fire while it was being driven.  The driver was able to escape unharmed according to officials, but the vehicle was a total loss.

*11:14pm – Brownwood Police were dispatched to 3oo block of Bluffview in reference to a physical domestic disturbance. Neither party wished to pursue criminal charges against the other; however, an information report was written per state law.

Thursday, January 13

*1:17am – Brownwood Police officers were dispatched to What-a-Burger in reference to a hit and run accident.  The complainant advised that his vehicle had been struck, causing damage to the right rear taillight assembly. No suspect

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
