LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, November 29, 2012.

Brownwood Police received a report of an internet scam Tuesday afternoon which left a woman with a loss of $6350.  The woman explained to police that she had met and fell in love with a man via an internet site and that she loaned him money, the report states.   According to the woman, her boyfriend was a successful business man but needed money sent for a business trip to Malaysia and to get out of jail.   She explained to police that she has sent multiple Money Grams totaling $6350 to help out her boyfriend, the report states.  The last time she spoke with the suspect was November 26th, when he told her he was boarding a plane to Texas to visit her, according to the report.  No arrests have been made in the case.

Wednesday, November 28

*11:07 a.m.-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known female in her 20s has been making harassing calls to his wife’s cell phone.

*5:33 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a set of Sony speakers, a small speaker and six pair of men’s blue jeans were stolen from the Good Will store.  Total value of the stolen items was estimated at $53.92.

*7:47 p.m.-Brownwood Police received a report of two teenage male foster children running away from a residence on Almond Street.

*7:53 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Magnolia Street regarding theft.   According to the report, the complainant stated that his iPhone 4GS (valued at $600) and its case (valued at $100) were stolen.

*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Kailey Shanice Adams for theft of property $50-$500.

*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Ashley Marney for theft of property $50-$500.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 52-year-old Brenda Diane Neal of Richland Springs for fraudulent intent to obtain controlled substance schedule III/IV.

*Early Police arrested 28-year-old Chad Michael Norman for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Patrick Warrick of Killeen for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Thursday, November 29

*2:54 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding several people throwing bottles in the parking lot.  According to the report and Brown County Jail records, this call led to the arrest of 19-year-old Marcus Phillips for criminal mischief $500-$1500.
