According to Early Chief of Police David Mercer, a local individual reported approximately 7:00pm on Friday to the Early Police Department that they received a text message from an unknown person wanting to sell drugs to them.
Sgt. Shawn Dibrell followed up on the text message and determined that the seller was located in Comanche. Sgt. Dibrell met with Comanche narcotics officers and continued the text messaging. Officers arranged a meeting with the individual, identified as 28-year-old Douglass Bilberry, who was subsequently placed under arrest for the Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone. Bilberry was taken to the Comanche County Jail.

Monday, November 21
*7:45pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, an employee of the convenience store stated that a male driving an SUV pumped $20 worth of gas and left without paying. The employee was able to get a license plate number of the suspect vehicle, the report states. According to the report, the $20 of stolen gas was later paid for by an unknown male.
Wednesday, November 23
*9:25am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that she had discovered that numerous pieces of gold jewelry were missing from her jewelry box which was located at her home on Waco Street.
*12:37pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft. The complainant stated that she and her husband were going through a divorce and that he had just recently gotten out of jail on October 14, the report states. She told police that she informed her husband that he needed to remove his property from the residence they shared on Avenue D because she had moved out and the landlord was going to rent it out again, according to the report. The complainant stated that a television and a PlayStation 3 which belonged to her were taken from the residence. Suspects have been identified the suspect; however at the time of the report no arrest had been made.
*3:33pm-Brownwood Police observed three male subjects walking between the Brownwood Intermediate School and the Bill Monroe Overpass and conducted a pedestrian stop. According to the report, the stop led to the arrest of 18-year-old Adrian Cortez for an active warrant and also for Failure to Identify Fugitive.
*8:39pm-A Brownwood Police officer was flagged down at 400 E. Commerce regarding found property. The owner of the property came to the scene a few minutes later and the property was returned to him.
*9:30pm-Brownwood Police were called to the area of Coleman Street and Cordell Street in regard to damaged property from a vehicle that had left the scene of the accident. Photos of the various parts from the suspect vehicle were taken and turned in as evidence. A suspect was later found and identified. No arrests were made at the time of the report.
*10:57pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that his wife kicked in the front door of the residence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 49-year-old Portia Celeste Seamans for Assault with Injury Family Violence.
Thursday, November 24
*3:15am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Emergency Room regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that he was assaulted outside of Duke’s Pub and Grub.
*1:24pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Crayton Street regarding a fire. Dispatch advised officers that the fire was set by two subjects in all black clothing. An officer was able to locate two individuals who fit the description of the suspects and called Fire Marshal Buddy Preston and informed him of his finding. The investigation was turned over the Fire Marshal Preston upon his arrival at the scene.
*11:30pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of 4th Street regarding the theft of a 21-speed mountain bicycle from the residence.
*Early Police arrested 51-year-old Gerald Keith Ledsome for Public Intoxication.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Bobby Ray Watts II of Bangs for Assault Family Violence.
Friday, November 25
*1:50am-Brownwood Police made contact with a suspicious vehicle in the Wal-Mart parking lot. According to the report, the driver, 22-year-old Juan Alberto Zuniga was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with Child Under 15 Years of Age.
*10:38am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 13th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that Hydrocodone pills had been stolen from her on Wednesday, November 23rd. She stated that she believes that the medication was taken by an employee of a local home health agency, the report states.
*2:30pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Stephen F. Austin, the VFW, where two complainants advised their vehicles were burglarized while parked outside the location. According to the report, both parties advised that the burglaries had occurred between the hours of 2:30pm and 2:39pm and that they had no information on who was responsible for the burglaries. Both parties wished to pursue charges if a suspect could be located.
*6:27pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Sharp Street regarding harassment. The complainant stated that a known subject was harassing her and her husband.
*7:46pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Avenue G regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between 11:20am and 7:40pm, two windows were broken out of the front of the complainant’s residence. Cost to repair the damage was estimated at $280. A possible suspect was named.
*8:21pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a business in the 500 block of Main Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim reported that she had been assaulted and named the man who was the suspect.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Jeremy Lee Ortega for Driving While License Invalid and an active warrant.
Saturday, November 26
*7:46am-Brownwood Police responded to a vehicle burglary which had occurred overnight in the 1100 block of Duke Street. According to the report, items taken during the burglary included social security cards, other forms of identification and a prescription bottle of Xanax. No suspects were identified at the time of the report and the investigation is ongoing.
*8:26am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Avenue C regarding the burglary of a vehicle. Dispatch advised that the owner of the vehicle had caught the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Ray Delgado, Jr., while the burglary was in progress and advised that the suspect was on scene. This call led to the arrest of Delgado for Burglary of a Vehicle.
*5:07pm-Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant in the Wal-Mart parking lot regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle was “keyed” while she was shopping. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*7:42pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce. According to the report, the complainant reported that her vehicle’s passenger window had been broken out and a purse and overnight bag were taken from the vehicle.
*Early Police arrested 20-year-old Andrea Renae Evers and 20-year-old Antoinette Sharmae Evers for Disorderly Conduct.
Sunday, November 27
*4:43am-Brownwood Police received a report of terroristic threat. According to the report, a female complainant stated that a known female suspect had threatened to stab her.
*11:23am-A Brownwood Police officer observed a male wearing a white shirt and black shorts walking on the wrong side of the road, with traffic instead of toward opposing traffic. According to the report, a pedestrian stop was made in the 1800 block of Durham Avenue and the male was identified as Juan Campos. This stop led to the arrest of Campos for Possession of a Dangerous Drub and Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3, less than 28g.
*1:51pm-Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center. According to the report, the complainant stated that her vehicle was damaged while parked in front of her apartment in the 2000 block of Slayden.
*8:23pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding a burglary. The complainant stated that two unknown men in their early twenties stole $1.50 worth of loose change from inside her car.
*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Juan Pedro Campos for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3 less than 28g and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
*Early Police arrested 22-year-old Jason Dale King for Public Intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a pickup truck swerving all over the road. According to the report, as the BCSO deputy arrived, the pickup had been pulled over by an Early Police officer. Both occupants of the vehicle admitted they had been to a bar and had been drinking, the report states. Investigation determined both to be intoxicated and subsequently 32-year-old Billy Ray Shelton of Mullin was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and 21-year-old Carlo Colton Gossett of Mullin for Public Intoxication according to the deputy’s report.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 32-year-old Zachary Ward of Cedar Park for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1g and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 4 less than 28g.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
