Monday, November 26

*2:00 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the vehicle was struck in the parking lot while the complainant was inside shopping.

*2:41 p.m.- Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce regarding the theft of a purse.

*3:51 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a female subject was harassing him by phone and in person.

Tuesday, November 27

*8:36 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Main Blvd regarding theft.   According to the report, the caller stated that he had the suspects detained.  Upon officers’ arrival and interviewing all the parties involved, a citation for theft less than $50 was issued to a 17-year-old male male subject.

*12:51p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Lee Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject took a package delivered by the U.S. P.S. from her doorstep between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26th.

*1:14 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Cordell regarding a scam.  According to the report, the complainant lost $6350 through an internet scam.

*2:52 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of W. Main Blvd. regarding the burglary of a building.  The investigation is ongoing and a list of the stolen items was unavailable at the time of the report.

*3:56 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Durham Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a pole saw was stolen out of his pickup truck.

*7:15 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Austin Avenue regarding trespassing.  According to the report, management of Dairy Queen requested a criminal trespass warning be issued to a disorderly customer.

*9:21 p.m.-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy, while on patrol, came upon a vehicle that was parked near the intersection of Highway 279 and County Road 551 on the shoulder of the road with its flashers on.  According to the report, there were six individuals standing around the vehicle and it was found that the driver had run over an object causing a blowout.  The driver, identified as 27-year-old Kimberly Louise Preece, was found to be intoxicated the report states.  The deputy asked to search the vehicle and was given permission by Preece who stated, “I have nothing to hide.”  In the front seat, the deputy located Preece’s purse which contained multiple prescription bottles, one of which contained multiple different prescription drugs in the same container, the report states.   Preece stated that she did have a prescription for the medications; however, because all of the pills were in the same bottle and there was no proof of the prescriptions belonging to Preece, she was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams and possession of a dangerous drug.

Wednesday, November 28

*2:46 a.m.-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of 3rd Street.  The driver of the vehicle, 46-year-old Raenita Lee Sawyer, was determined to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.  Sawyer was also found to be in possession of hydrocodone tablets without a prescription present for the medication, the report states.  Sawyer was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance.
