Sunday, November 21

*11:35-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding theft of gas.  The clerk stated that a male suspect came into the store stating that the debit card reader was not working.  The clerk turned on the gas pump and instructed the man to come back in to pay when finished; however the man left without paying, taking 21.78 gallons of gas which totaled $57.47.  Security cameras were reviewed and a copy will be obtained for further investigation.

*6:33pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 4400 block of Rosewood regarding theft.  The complainant stated that an unknown suspect stole his daughter’s bicycle.

Monday, November 22

*4:42pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Coggin Avenue regarding criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The complainant stated that someone cut his tire and his gas line on his vehicle sometime during the night.  Damage was estimated to be approximately $350.

*11:40pm-Browwnood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Schroeder regarding an assault.  Further investigation showed this was possibly a mutual combat situation.  Further investigation is pending.

*12:15pm-Brownwood Police responded to a hit and run in the 200 block of Water Street.  Contact was made with the complainant who told the officer that a white pickup struck the left rear quarter of his vehicle and left the scene of the crash.  Complainant wished to pursue charges if the suspect vehicle was located.

*6:53pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Songbird regarding theft.  The complainant stated that an unknown suspect sole two floor machines from the property.

Tuesday, November 23

*2:13pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce regarding the theft of a laptop.  The complainant stated that a Compaq Presario laptop valued at $348 was stolen from the Customer Service area.

*7:12pm Brownwood Police were called to Stokes Brothers’ Garage regarding a robbery that had occurred.  Further investigation revealed this was instead a burglary of a building.  No arrest had been made or any suspect identified at the time of the report.

*8:03pm-A Brownwood Police officer while patrolling noted a vehicle with a defective left turn signal.  A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as 24-year-old Deena Ramos.  The officer noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle the police report states.  A status check on Ramos’ license showed it to be under suspension for no liability insurance.  Ramos was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 oz and Driving While License Invalid and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

*9:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue J regarding a suspicious vehicle.  Officers arrived to find a vehicle parked next to the curb with five males inside.  After investigation, placed under arrest were 17-year-old John Hambrick for Possession of Marijuana less than or equal to 2 oz. in a drug free zone and 18-year-old Coby Lyon for Public Intoxication.

*10:40pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle which led to the arrest of 25-year-old Joe F. Romero for Possession of Marijuana.

*Brownwood Police were called to the 4400 block of Brookdale regarding an assault and criminal mischief to a truck.  The complainant was at this parents’ home when the incident occurred.  When the officer arrived, the complainant’s cheek was red as a result of being struck in the face by a known suspect with brass knuckles.  The complainant’s truck was vandalized by four other males the police report states.

*11:30pm-A Brownwood Police officer was in the 200 block of Main when the officer observed a vehicle playing loud bass music.  The officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Duke Street where further investigation led to the arrest of 27-year-old Porfirio Delacruze of Waco for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz in a Drug Free Zone.

*Brownwood Police arrested 54-year-old Schylet Davis for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1g in a Drug Free Zone.

*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Rudolfo Hernandez of Early for Burglary of a Habitation Intended Felony and Theft of a Firearm.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
