Friday, November 20
*11:47 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a business on FM 2632, regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle, which had occurred during the past week. According to the report, the window to the vehicle was broken out and approximately $900.00 worth of items was stolen from inside of the truck. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*12:17 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a fraudulent prescription.
*4:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding the theft of a cell phone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Melinda Gay Belveal of Brownwood on warrants related to motion to revoke delivery of a controlled substance and motion to revoke of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Frank William Brummett on a warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.*Early Police arrested 58-year-old Kim Douglas Duncan of Early for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, driving while intoxicated and failure to stop proper place.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Hector Alfredo Haechten of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/aggravated assault serious bodily injury. Haechten was later released on a $20,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Christopher Lawson of Brownwood on Travis County warrants related to possession of possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of marijuana.
Saturday, November 21
*12:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3200 block of Milam Drive regarding a report of the burglary of a vehicle while it was parked at Gordon Wood Stadium. According to the report, the complainant’s purse was stolen out of the vehicle while she was attending a football game at the stadium. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*12:48 AM – Brownwood Police granted a male subject’s wish when they arrested him Saturday evening after he entered the Brown County Law Enforcement Center in a highly intoxicated state, screaming, “Arrest Me!” According to the report, the male, identified as 37-year-old John Stephens of Glen Rose, told police that he had been intoxicated in a public place and wished to be arrested. Stephens further told police that he had been dropped off at the LEC by a friend, the report states. While investigating the situation, the officer was informed by dispatch that Stephens had actually held the female driver of the vehicle at knife point while forcing her to drive him to the LEC, the report states. Officers went to the victim’s apartment complex, in the 2800 block of Southside Drive and located Stephen’s vehicle. According to the report, inside the vehicle was a cigarette pack with a green leafy substance and rolling papers laying in plain sight on the seat of the vehicle. Stephens was charged with public intoxication, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone and aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon. Stephens was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $28,000 as of Monday morning.
*2:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding fraud. According to the report, two subjects had paid for merchandise at a self-checkout and had exchanged a counterfeit $20 bill with a cashier for a real $20 bill.
*6:17 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft of property. According to the report, several items were stolen from the store.
*Travis County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Jennifer Ryan Garcia of Brownwood on a Travis County warrant related to a surety withdrawal/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Early Police arrested 47-year-old Kory Lee Haines for public intoxication.
*Bangs Police arrested 36-year-old Lana Lorene Hyles of Bangs on a warrant related to theft.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Robert William Pierson, Jr. on a parole warrant.
Sunday, November 22
*8:29 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a church in the 1000 block of Belle Plain regarding an assault. According to the report, a male subject had assaulted a woman outside on the church property. This call led to the arrest of 29-year-old Bobby Sustaiti of Brownwood for unlawful restraint, possession of marijuana in a drug free zone and assault class C.
*10:27 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a welfare check. According to the report, a male subject, identified as 58-year-old Marty Riggins was lying on the side of the street near the main entrance to the store. Officers arrived to find Riggins in a state of intoxication, the report states and arrested him for public intoxication.
*10:51 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a property on FM 2940 regarding a report of a terroristic threat. According to the report, a repossession agent had a gun pulled on him while he was trying to repossess a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputies Boulter and Tidwell interviewed the victim, witnesses, and suspect and documented the incident.
*17-year-old Trevor James Pittman of Norman, Oklahoma turned himself in on warrants related to two counts of failure to appear/burglary of a habitation. Pittman was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $120,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 82-year-old on a Potter County warrant related to motion to revoke/delivery of a controlled substance
