Tuesday, November 18
*10:42 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center. According to the report, the complainant stated that previous tenants of his rental property located on County Road 192 had stolen several items including tools and had caused damage to the property. Criminal charges are being pursued, the report states.
*2:43 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a property on FM 585 North regarding the burglary of a habitation, which had occurred the previous day. The complainant stated that he and his wife had been away from the residence on November 17th and had returned to find a door to the residence pried open and several items missing from inside the residence, including two firearms, the report states.
Wednesday, November 19
*3:35 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of 14th Street regarding a burglary.*4:36 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched an area of County Road 199 to the report of a male subject wandering around the area and sitting in the middle of the street. According to the report, the deputy arrived to find the male who appeared confused sitting in the bar ditch facing a barbed wire fence along the roadway. The male, later identified as 24-year-old Kelly Bryan Jones of San Angelo, gave the deputy a false name and date of birth, the report states. EMS was contacted as well as the MHMR crisis line as Jones stated that he had mental problems, according to the report. The deputy was able to locate luggage which Jones stated was lost and observed a photo ID lying inside an unzipped handbag and Jones’ actual name and date of birth was discovered, the report states. The deputy also observed a digital scale laying on the ground and a syringe lying next to the ID, according to the report. The deputy conducted a probable cause search on his luggage and found several items of drug paraphernalia, including a cut straw with a white powdery substance inside of it and on the surface of the scales, which tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report. Dispatch ran Jones’ ID and found him to be wanted on two Burnett County felony warrants and he was arrested, charged with failure to identify – fugitive from justice, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, and on two Burnett County warrants related to failure to appear and failure to appear/unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, the report states. Jones was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond as of Thursday morning.
*6:17 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Pheasant Grove Lane regarding the theft of a trailer from the property.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 55-year-old Randy Virgil Echols of Alvarado on warrants related to indecency with a child (Brown County) and two counts of Aggravated Driving while Intoxicated (Pinal County, Arizona). Echols was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond as of Thursday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Dustin Ray Lawson of Brownwood on warrants for surety withdrawals related to tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance.
*Brownwood Police arrested 51-year-old Anita Marie Valdez of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Robert Brant Villalpando of Early on a warrant related to reckless driving.
