Monday, October 26
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. According to the report, a complainant reported that he left his white 1990 Cadillac Deville at Thrifty Park, on County Road 105, after it broke down. When he returned, it was no longer there, the report states. The complainant believes it was stolen.
Friday, October 30
*12:16 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a stop on a suspicious vehicle parked on Hwy 183 South in the construction zone. According to the report, during the deputy’s investigation, the front passenger, identified as 21-year-old Pathion Andrew Collins of Temple, Texas, gave a false identity and was arrested for failure to identify.
*11:16 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding graffiti spray painted on structures in the area. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*12:04 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Vincent Street regarding child abuse which had occurred within the Brownwood city limits. According to the report, the known suspect had allegedly physically abused a child relative sometime the prior morning. An investigation was begun.*2:17 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a hotel in the 100 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding theft of property. According to the report, the complainant stated someone had stolen her Tinge Unit from her hotel room. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*6:43 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, a suspect has been identified and the offense was documented.
*22-year-old Jamie C. Hernandez of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to revoke driving while intoxicated.
Saturday, October 31
*12:16 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Austin Avenue and Booker Street for speeding. According to the report, the driver, identified as 49-year-old Steve Robertson of Brownwood was believed to be intoxicated. Robertson failed standard field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. A blood sample was obtained at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
*12:55 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 100 block of Coleman Street. According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 53-year-old Debra Bale of Early was found to have an active warrant for her arrest. In addition to the warrant, a quantity of marijuana was found inside of the vehicle. Bale was arrested on the warrant as well as for the offense of possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and for driving while license invalid with prior conviction.
*3:44 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at residence on Hemphill Drive regarding theft of property. According to the report, the complainant stated that their son had stolen a badge from the police department. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*5:11 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a suspect, identified as 20-year-old Candice Pena of Comanche, was observed concealing and walking past the point of purchase with the concealed items. Pena was placed under arrest for theft of property equal or greater than $100 less than $750, the report states.
*7:06 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 469 regarding the burglary of a habitation.
*7:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of 11th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, a chain saw and a cordless drill were stolen from the residence. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*8:49 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the intersection of Countryside and Skyview Court regarding a possible domestic disturbance. According to the report, no disturbance was located, however, an investigation determined an assault had taken place. As a result of this call, 33-year-old Randy Earl Jones of Bremond, Texas was arrested for assault family violence and injury to a child.
*30-year-old John Christopher Garza of Brownwood was arrested on warrants related to theft of property greater than $50 less than $500 enhanced and theft of property by check (Taylor County).
*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Traci E. Richards of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Ariana Villarreal of Brownwood on a warrant related to consumption of alcohol by minor.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Erik Whited of Goldthwaite on warrants related to criminal mischief greater than $1500 less than $20,000 (Hays County) and two counts of assault family violence (Caldwell County). Whited was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $107,500 as of Monday morning.
Sunday, November 1
*9:50 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Santa Clara Drive regarding theft of property. According to the report, the property owner stated that her tenants moved out of the residence and took kitchen appliances that belonged to the owner. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 27-year-old Jacob Alonzo Gomez of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 46-year-old Terrel Williams of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
Monday, November 2
*12:22 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective rear license plate lamp. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of the front passenger 40-year-old Laura McCaig of Elmmott, Texas (AKA Laura Christine Brooks) for a pending warrant and the arrest of the rear driver side passenger 45-year-old Jessie Ray Walls of Early for failure to identify fugitive from justice.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Marlena Gomez of Brownwood on a warrant related to a parole violation.
