Thursday, November 13
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of theft of services. According to the report, the management of Brookesmith Special Utility District reported that residents at a property on County Road 135 in Bangs were stealing water. The water crew excavating a water line discovered a water meter had been placed into the hole providing water to the address, the report states. It was discovered that the water meter had been stolen from a neighboring property, according to the report. The residents at the property had their water service cut off prior due to nonpayment, the report states.
Friday, November 14
*8:12 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of 14th Street regarding speeding. According to the report, the vehicle was traveling 31 mph in a 20 mph zone. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Antonio Celaya Valdez of Brownwood, was arrested for driving while license invalid with ALR suspension, the report states.
*8:25 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 800 block of Gifford Street regarding speeding. According to the report, the vehicle was traveling 35 mph in a 30 mph zone. This stop led to the arrest of 25-year-old Samuel Sanchez II of Brownwood for a Travis County warrant for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2.
*9:13 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Vine Street. This stop led to the arrest of 24-year-old Nico Cesar Villarreal of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous suspension for driving while intoxicated the report states.
*11:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft. A citation for theft less than $50 was issued to the suspect, the report states.
*3:32 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding harassment/disorderly conduct.
*4:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Belle Plain regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a latch on a roll up door was damaged during the incident.
*4:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 29-year-old Anthony David of Brownwood for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*5:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Hwy 279 regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen a craftsman tool set, a green 2 wheel dolly and a McCullough chain saw from her business. The value of the stolen items was estimated at approximately $175.
*8:35 PM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 1000 block of Avenue C. According to the report, during the stop, a small quantity of marijuana was found. Dora Clifton was arrested for the offense of possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested Roland Eugene Burkes, 32 of Brownwood, on a warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 24-year-old Terrence Alonzo Jackson of Brownwood on a warrant for motion to adjudicate for criminal mischief.
Saturday, November 15
*4:32 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of W. Baker Street on two people. According to the report, during the stop, a quantity of marijuana was located. 33-year-old Tara Holland of Brownwood was arrested for the offense of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*3:57 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Oakland Drive regarding theft. According to the report, a handgun was stolen and criminal charges are being pursued.
*4:14 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the burglary of a building. No arrests were made, according to the report.
*11:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 13th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, both the female and male involved in the disturbance wished to pursue criminal charges against each other; however, the officer was unable to determine who the primary aggressor was during the investigation. The incident was documented.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of W. Commerce for a defective high mount brake lamp. According to the report, after further investigation, the passenger of the vehicle, identified as 40-year-old Cynthia Dolores Marshall of Blanket, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 and possession of a prohibited weapon – brass knuckles.
*Bangs Police arrested 24-year-old Katy Davis for public intoxication.
Sunday, November 16
*3:01 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Brady Avenue regarding a possible incident of driving while intoxicated. The suspect vehicle was located and was driving without its headlights on, the report states. This stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 27-year-old Stephanie Larae Smith, for driving while intoxicated.
*12:26 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Sherman Drive regarding theft.
*1:33 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Brady Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle.
*3:24 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief at a residence on County Road 551. According to the report, siding on the residence had been damaged the previous night.
*4:14 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of Avenue D regarding an assault.
*Brownwood Police arrested Casie Marie Harry, 25 of Brownwood, for driving while intoxicated.
*Benny Fay Leach, Jr., 21, was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Monday, November 17
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 57-year-old Danny Ray Lyons of Rising Star on a city of Brownwood warrant for public intoxication.
