Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, November 17, 2010.

Thursday, November 11

*10:00am-While on duty at 2100 Slayden, Brownwood High School, an officer was approached by a complainant regarding having lost her cell phone.

*12:18pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of 1st Street regarding a stolen vehicle.  According to the report, the victim stated that a female had entered her residence and took the keys to her vehicle.  The female left the residence with the vehicle without permission and the victim chased her down the roadway the report states.  The suspect has been identified by evidence left at the residence as she was taking the keys.  Charges of Burglary of a Habitation Intended other Felony and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle are being pursued.

Monday, November 15

*4:20pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence on FM 45 to a report of theft of mail.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between October 15, 2010 and November 2, 2010 a piece of mail containing his credit card statement had been stolen from his mailbox.  The complainant was made aware of the situation when his credit card company notified him that a subject was trying to cash a convenience check at a check cashing business in Austin, TX the report states.   A report for possible fraud has been filed with the credit card company.  No arrest has been made and no suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*6:52pm-Brownwood Police were called to the Brookeshire’s  Parking lot, 1400 Austin Avenue, regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant gave limited information on a possible suspect vehicle.  No arrest had been made at the time of the report.

*11:50pm-Brownwood Police responded to a local bar in the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding an assault.  According to the report, an officer met with the complainant who stated he was hit in the head by an unknown subject while in the parking lot.    While driving toward home, the complainant realized he was bleeding and returned to the bar to clean up according to the report.  No suspects were known at the time of the report.

Tuesday, November 16

*12:20am-A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a residence on Hwy 279 in reference to an unwanted person knocking on the door.  According to the report, as the officer arrived, he found 42-year-old Rudolfo Reyna on the side of the highway talking to a man who had stopped to talk to him.  Reyna was found to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication the report states.

*6:12pm-Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of Brooks.  According to the report, the investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Morris William Mood, Jr. for Assault Family Violence with Injury by Strangulation.

*7:56pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Melwood regarding a dispute and criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his wife had destroyed his Apple iPad and had struggled with him after an argument.  The wife stated that the iPad was broken during the struggle by accident the report states.  Neither claimed injuries; however the wife wanted a trespass warning issued to the complainant.

*10:22pm-Brownwood Police responded to 2600 Crocket Drive, Brownwood Regional Medical Center, to speak with an employee regarding a burglary of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated someone had burglarized his vehicle while he was on duty between 3pm and 10pm.  A description of the stolen property was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called to a storage business in Blanket in regard to several storage units being burglarized overnight.  According to the report, the owner of the storage buildings stated that three sheds had the locks cut off and that this has been an ongoing problem for the last several months.  The owner contacted each of the storage owners and no items were found to be missing the report states.  If a suspect is located, the owner does wish to pursue charges.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
