Thursday, November 12
*11:47 AM – The Brownwood High School resource officer was contacted regarding theft. According to the report, an investigation led to a student being in possession of drug paraphernalia and the student was subsequently issued a citation. Additionally, the student was placed in the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program for 5 days as school discipline, the report states.
Friday, November 13
*5:33 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 3rd Street regarding an assault.
*2:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding trespassing. According to the report, a male suspect known to have a criminal trespass warning for the property was inside the store. As a result of this call, the male, identified as 24-year-old Mathew Ray Daunis of May, Texas was arrested for criminal trespass.
*3:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a business in the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen the grill off of her vehicle.*3:57 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the violation of a protective order.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested William Chad Daugherty of May on a warrant.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Isaiah James Escamilla of Brownwood on a warrant related to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Escamilla was released on $10,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Ruben Quintana Garcia of Junction on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated open container. Garcia was released on $5,000 bond.
*17-year-old Jessica Diane Ross of Bastrop turned herself in on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1.
Saturday, November 14
*1:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 3400 block of Austin Avenue. According to the report, an investigation is ongoing.
*6:48 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Simmons Street regarding theft. According to the report, a 20-foot aluminum ladder, was stolen.
*10:33 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made at traffic stop regarding a defective headlight on a vehicle traveling north on Hwy 279, near the community of Cross Cut. According to the report, the vehicle was occupied by four subjects who gave consent to search the vehicle. Through roadside interviews with the occupants, multiple items of stolen clothing (which still had electronic anti-theft devices on them) and merchandise were discovered, the report states. The items, totaling $1280, had been stolen from JC Penny in Early and Walmart in Brownwood, according to the report. The occupants, identified as 23-year-old Bethany Brianne Huffman of San Angelo, 43-year-old Kristy McClure Vineyard of Abilene, 30-year-old Joseph Daniel McMillan of Abilene and 25-year-old Andres Salazar Noyola of San Angelo were each arrested and charged with retail theft and engaging in organized criminal activity.
*Early Police arrested 47-year-old Christopher Burt Hardaway of Bangs for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more, possession open container of alcohol and expired driver’s license. Hardaway was released on bonds totaling $11,000.
*39-year-old KC Huff turned himself in on a warrant related to sexual assault of a child.
*Brown County Sheriff’ Office arrested 48-year-old Clayton Dale Wilkins of Blanket for public intoxication.
Sunday, November 15
*12:23 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a Brownwood residence regarding an assault which had occurred in the 2000 block of Austin Avenue, at Coggin Park. According to the report, the victim and a few witnesses gave statements and the suspect willingly met with the officer and gave a written statement regarding the assault. No arrest was made at the time of the report, as an investigation regarding aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence was ongoing.
*11:53 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1300 block of Magnolia Street regarding an assault. According to the report, a male and female each claimed to have been assaulted by the other.
*11:57 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 569 regarding a neighbor who was stealing electricity from the complainant’s residence. A suspect has been named according to the deputy’s report.
*12:03 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Belle Plain, a local storage yard, for burglary. According to the report, the complainant reported someone had broken into the fenced yard, through a gate and stolen a motorcycle. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*2:33 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report via telephone call regarding the forgery of a financial instrument. According to the report, a check which had been mailed to the complainant was stolen out of the mailbox and cashed at a local bank. The check was for $288.05 and is believed to have been cashed by a known and named suspect, the report states.
*6:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, three notebooks of baseball cards valued at $300 and 8 porcelain dolls were stolen from the property. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*10:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue I regarding an animal bite. According to the report, the complainant stated that a dog had bit him at the corner of Avenue I and 3rd Street, causing a small laceration to his ankle. The described dog and its owner were located and animal control was called to the property. The Animal Control officer advised the dog’s owners of options for proper treatments and testing.
*11:31 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2500 block of 1st Street regarding speeding. According to the report, the vehicle was traveling 36 mph in a 30 mph speed zone. This stop led to the arrest of 20-year-old Walter Tyler of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Dustin Cates Baker of Brownwood on warrants related to two counts of expired registration, two counts of failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia.
*Early Police arrested 45-year-old Ruth Marie Pannell of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
