Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, November 15, 2010.

*Early Police Chief David Mercer reported an accident that occurred in the 800 block of Early Blvd on Sunday, November 14th at approximately 9:53pm.  According to Mercer, a 2008 Toyota Pickup went off the roadway striking a power pole and 2 gas meters, igniting the engine area of the pickup.  The fire caused damage to a second power pole.

The driver, an 18 year old Early student, was stunned from the air bag deployment but was basically uninjured according to the report.

Fire crews from Early and Brownwood responded and protected the 2 businesses that were threatened by the fire.  Power lines were down across the highway which diverted traffic for over 2 hours until Oncor Electric crews and Atmos gas company could clear the power lines and plug gas lines the report states.  The investigation into the incident is continuing at this time.

Tuesday, November 9

*2:19am-Brownwood Police responded to a hit and run accident.  A suspect struck a stop sign with a cross street sign on top of it, destroying the sign and fled the scene.  The officer was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

*2:27pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of E. Commerce in reference to fraudulent medication prescriptions.  The pharmacist explained that a subject had obtained a controlled substance (Schedule III/IV) through a fraudulently communicated prescription via telephone on several different occasions according to the report.

Friday, November 12

*2:08pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Austin Avenue regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle.  The complainant stated her vehicle had been broken into and a pink digital camera was stolen.

*2:21pm-Brownwood Police received a report of harassing text messages from a known suspect.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Kristy Rambo Jackson of Bangs, 22-year-old Carl Lee Tomlinson of Brownwood and 34-year-old Michael Dewain Wilkerson of Early each for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

Saturday, November 13

*1:06am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Borden Street regarding a noise nuisance.  Upon arrival, the officer observed a loud party and an open flame pit in the back yard.  The officer approached the incident which led to the arrest of three individuals for various charges.  One of the subjects was 32-year-old Elaina Aguirre who arrested for Assault on a Public Servant, Making Alcohol Available to Minor, Interfere with Public Duties, and Evading Arrest/Detention.  Two other subjects, whose names were not released, were also arrested for Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest.

*2:20pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Dallas Street regarding a handgun being pointed at an individual.  The offense had occurred in the 200 block of Bluffview.  The complainant stated that she and her boyfriend had been parked outside of the residence when a male subject drove by and pointed a black handgun at them.  The complainant was able to provide suspect information and a search of the area was performed; however, no vehicle was located.  The complainant would like to pursue charges against the suspect for Deadly Conduct.

*5:55pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of US Hwy 377, Dollar General, regarding an assault that had occurred in the 700 block of 5th Street.  The complainant stated that the suspect had punched him; however a witness advised she saw the event between the two men and described no punches thrown by either party.  The suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning for this address.

*6:50pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of W. Commerce regarding several males skateboarding on the property.  Store representatives explained this action presenting a liability issue to the property due to skateboarding being dangerous/injury prone sport.  One of the males was issued a trespass warning at store employee request.

*6:54pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft.  Upon investigation 17-year-old Kelcie Danielle Jowers and 18-year-old Courtney Leigh McDaniel were arrested for theft greater than $50 less than $500.

*7:20pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Crocket Drive to the BRMC emergency room regarding a disorderly patient.  Upon arrival, officers were directed to a patient room where 42-year-old Rudolfo Reyna was being belligerent to the hospital staff police reports state.  Despite warnings to stop, Reyna was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Sunday, November 14

*12:49am-A Brownwood Police officer while on patrol was alerted to an assault and disturbance in the lower level of a local bar in the 400 block of S. Broadway.  The officer responded down a flight of stairs where he saw the disturbance taking place.  It was determined to be a mutual combat situation with one person being pushed, shoved and, intimidated and another person having a beer mug thrown at them.  Both parties were detained during the investigation but later allowed to leave the premises with a sober responsible adult.  At the scene, both parties indicated they wished to pursue charges.  Due to both parties having consumed an intoxicating beverage, they were advised a report would be taken and forwarded to the Brownwood Municipal Court.

*1:24am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the intersection of Avenue I and 6th Street regarding a motor vehicle accident.  Investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Samuel Justice Sauceda for Driving Under the Influence-Minor and Resisting Arrest.

*4:16pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2600 block of US Hwy 377 regarding a domestic disturbance.  Investigation led to the arrest of 26-year-old Ronald Vincent Romero for Assault Family Violence with Injury and Assault.

*11:05pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary of a habitation.  The complainant stated that while on his way home from work, he drove past his cousin’s home and noted a pickup with two men was parked at the home.  When he confronted the men in the vehicle, they drove away from the property with what appeared to be a white refrigerator and an extension ladder.  The suspects were unknown.  No arrest had been made as of the time of the report.

*Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of Gifford regarding an assault.  Upon arrival it was found that the complainant had been struck in the arm by the suspect but no injury was found.  An assault complaint was filed with Municipal Court.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to CR 162 in regard to a horse that had a broken leg and was malnourished.  The deputy located the horse and observed an injury to the horse’s back left leg.  Photographs of the horse were taken and the owner was located.  The owner stated that he knew of the injury to the horse, but believed that it was a severe cut on the leg and not broken.  The owner could not remember when he had taken the horse to the vet to get the leg examined.  A report was filed regarding possible animal cruelty.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
