Friday, November 11
*3:13am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of 1st Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the victim had been assaulted by her ex-husband and had minor injuries to her face. The suspect fled prior to officers being called, the report states. A report for Assault Family Violence has been filed and the incident is under investigation.
Sunday, November 13
Early Police report that James Albert Russell turned himself in to the County Jail on 2 charges of Burglary of motor vehicle and theft over 1500. The charges were in connection to several motor vehicle burglaries that occurred at in the 100 block of Early Blvd in August of this year, according to police officials.
Monday, November 14
*8:14am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle which was traveling 40mph in a 50 mph speed zone in the 2000 block of US Hwy 377S. During the stop, the driver was identified as 39-year-old Ana Lilia Delacruz and was found to be driving with a suspended license as well as to be in possession of multiple prescription medications for which she had no prescription, the report states. Delacruz was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
*11:37am-A Brownwood Police officer was parked in the parking lot of 1906 US Hwy 377S facing south observing traffic when he noticed a passenger car disregard the stop sign at 8th and Hwy 377S. According to the report, a traffic stop was made which led to the arrest of 38-year-old Rauf Cadena on charges of Ran a Stop Sign, No Driver’s License, Failure to Identify (fugitive intentionally gave false information), Theft $50-$500 and for parole violation warrant.
*11:54am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce, Big Country Ford, regarding a stolen vehicle. According to the report, the service manager stated that Big Country Ford had rented a Ford Five Hundred to a person who had not made payments on the rental car since September 18, 2011. The service manager advised that several attempts had been made to contact Hooper; however were unsuccessful. The vehicle was reported as stolen and entered into the database.
*5:24pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2300 block of 16th Street regarding a runaway juvenile. According to the report, the male juvenile did not return home after school. Investigation found that this was the second time this week that he ran away, the report states.
*6:46pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 700 block of Avenue H. According to the report, investigation determined the driver, 42-year-old Darren Gene Pullin, was intoxicated. Pullin was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Consent was given by Pullin for a blood sample which was taken at Brownwood Regional Medical Center before Pullin was released to staff at the Brown County Jail.
*10:34pm-Brownwood Police responded to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding the report of sexual assault of a child. According to the report, officers spoke with the child and the family about an incident which had happened the previous day. The child did not have any obvious injuries at the time of the report, police stated. The case is active and is being investigated by Brownwood Police Department and Child Protective Services.
*10:38pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper right turn. According to the report, the driver, 39-year-old Christopher Sterling was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
*11:54pm-Brownwood Police officer found an abandoned bicycle in the 1000 block of 4th Street. The bicycle was checked to see if it had been stolen and it did not show up as stolen. The bicycle was taken to the Brownwood Police Department impound for safe keeping until its owner can properly identify and claim it.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Devan Wayne Vogel for Driving While License Invalid.
Tuesday, November 15
*5:05pm – Brown County Sheriff’s officials and emergency workers responded to a report of an ATV crash on property off of FM 2525 injuring the male driver. Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter responded to the scene and transported the injured man to Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene with non-life threatening injuries, according to officials.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Brittney Landvatter of San Antonio for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 Less than 1g.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
