Law enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, November 11 and Monday, November 14, 2011.

Wednesday, November 9

*4:55pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft.  According to the report, loss prevention employees reported two juvenile subjects fleeing as loss prevention employees approached them.  A third juvenile was not involved in the theft; however was able to identify the subjects.  A total of $107.90 of items was stolen from the store.  The officer was unable to make contact with the juvenile subjects at this time.

Thursday, November 10

*8:30am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of 4th Street regarding found drugs.  The complainant stated that an unwanted person left a small amount of marijuana, 0.24g, on his sofa in a red cap.  The cap and marijuana were turned into the evidence room at the Brownwood Police Department.

*1:29pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of 16th Street regarding domestic violence.  The officer arrived to find that a juvenile had struck her stepmother in the face while in an argument.  The juvenile was arrested for assault family violence and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

*2:47pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 4th Street regarding a stolen bicycle.    The complainant reported that sometime between the hours of 11:30pm on 11/4 and midnight on 11/5, someone had entered the front porch of her apartment and taken her bicycle without her permission. 

*5:21am-Brownwood Police responded to a convenience store in the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, an employee stated that she was startled when she caught an unidentified male attempting to steal $22.35 in sodas from a cooler.  The subject fled on foot, leaving the items behind.  A partial description was provided of the suspect and the incident is currently under investigation.

*While conducting a probation search of the residence of 30-year-old Travis Andrew Miller, Brown County Sheriff’s Office investigators found some stolen weapons in the residence, according to police reports.  Miller was arrested for Theft of Firearm.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Damon Eudean Rayburn during a probation search after investigators located methamphetamine in his residence, according to police reports.  During the investigators’ search, Rayburn attempted to destroy a meth pipe, according to BCSO officials.  The residence is located less than 1000 f t. from Coggin Park, a drug free zone.  Rayburn was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1g in a Drug Free Zone and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Friday, November 11

*10:25am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had entered his pickup truck and stolen 6 CDs from the center console.

*12:53am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding disorderly conduct.  Upon investigation, the officer determined that the complainant had gotten into a fight with another subject and had sustained injuries that were severe enough that he requested EMS.  The complainant was extremely intoxicated, which caused him to change his story several times, the report states.  The complainant was taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment according to police.

*7:20am-Brownwood Police responded to 401 W. Commerce regarding a shoplifter.  Dispatch advised that the subject, identified as 42-year-old Chad William Beasley, was believed to be intoxicated, the report states.  This call led to the arrest of Beasley for Public Intoxication with 3 Prior Convictions. 

*1:53pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 4th Street regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been receiving harassing phone calls, on both her and her husband’s phone, from a male subject who identified himself but that she did not know.  The male left messages repeatedly stating that there were pending lawsuits against her and that she was going to be “thrown in jail” the report states.  When the complainant called the number back, she was able to speak to the male who stated that he was an attorney and that she had three pending lawsuits against her.  He continues to call her cell phone and she wishes to pursue criminal charges for harassment, according to the report.

*6:40pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a wallet which was stolen at Wal-Mart. 

*Early Police arrested 49-year-old Richard Jay Chancellor of Fort Stockton for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Phillip Salazar for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Stephen Wayne Shores for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Saturday, November 12

*10:40am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop regarding speeding at the area of W. Commerce and Belle Plain.  The driver, identified as 22-year-old Billy Wayne Curtis of Mullin, was extremely nervous according to the report.  Curtis consented to a search of the vehicle and marijuana was located in the front seat of the vehicle.  Curtis was subsequently arrested for Possession of Marijuana.  Upon further search at the jail, additional marijuana was found in Curtis’ shoes. 

*8:16pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Avenue G regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant identified herself as the victim and that her father had been assaulted by a known subject.

*9:59pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2200 block of Coggin Avenue regarding the report of a burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had arrived home around 9:45pm and noticed items missing from his residence.  The offense was believed to have occurred between 8:30pm and 9:45pm.  The complainant stated that the only things he could find missing at the time of the report were a 27-inch flat screen television (valued at approximately $150) and a 4G Xbox 360 with 2 controllers (valued at $199).  An investigation is pending.

*11:00pm-Brownwood Police responded to a hit and run accident in the 1900 block of 1st Street.  Witnesses stated that an older white sports utility vehicle drove over a parking sign, through a chain link fence and then struck a parked vehicle before fleeing the scene, the report states.  The incident is under investigation.

*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Domingo Olivo of Fort Worth for Driving While License Invalid.

Sunday, November 13

*12:03am-Brownwood Police responded to the 4200 block of Austin Avenue where a vehicle was reported to be swerving all over the roadway and was believed to have struck a mailbox.  According to the report, officers arrived to find that the vehicle had struck a large tree stump and was a total loss.  The driver was identified as 23-year-old Angel Armando Comacho of Early and was taken to the BRMC emergency room for evaluation and was later released.  A blood sample was taken and standard field sobriety tests were completed.  Comacho was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 1st with Open Container.

*12:49am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of 5th Street regarding an assault.  The complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend forced his way into her residence and assaulted her.  An investigation is pending.

*3:02am-A Brownwood Police officer observed a male subject, later identified as 44-year-old Elmer Paul Lawrence, walking southbound in the 3300 block of US Hwy 377.  According to the report, the officer made contact with the male and determined he was intoxicated.  He was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication.

*2:07pm-Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 1100 block of 10th Street which led to the arrest of 26-year-old Daniel Joseph Hedgecock of Roston, Louisiana for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

*2:25pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Maple Street regarding theft of medication.  Two possible suspects were named; however no arrest had been made at the time of the report.

*4:58pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Lane Street regarding an assault.  This call led to the arrest of 35-year-old Angela Marie Smith for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*5:38pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding the theft of a bicycle.  The complainant stated that sometime between 11/12 and 4:00pm on 11/13, a 10-speed mountain bike was stolen from the front of the residence.  The bike was valued at $50 and the complainant did wish to pursue charges if a suspect could be identified.

*6:27pm-Brownwood Police were notified by dispatch that an Early Police officer was conducting an investigation concerning a weapon offense which was later determined to have occurred within the Brownwood city limits.  Since the officer had the information and the incident occurred within a few feet of the Early city limits, the EPD officer advised BPD that he and his department would pursue and complete the investigation, the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 30-year-old Jennifer Loraine Crader of Blanket for Driving While License Invalid Surcharge Due with Suspension.

*Early Police arrested 28-year-old Falon Rae Snell for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions, Expired Motor Vehicle Registration, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
