An Early woman was arrested Monday, November 11th after a domestic disturbance which led to charges of deadly conduct.
According to Early Police Chief David Mercer, EPD officer Stephanie Haile responded at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Monday to the disturbance at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Early Blvd which eventually moved into the streets of Early.
After a physical confrontation, a male began walking away from the apartment on Early Blvd and the female involved in the disturbance, identified as 35-year-old Kelli Dann (Spurgeon) Sikes of Early, got in her vehicle in an attempt to chase the male subject down, according to the report. During her pursuit, Sikes sped through a private business parking lot narrowly missing employees and vehicles, the report states. Sikes also sped across a school lot in an attempt to run her vehicle at the male victim; however, officers arrived and stopped Sikes from hitting the male victim, the report states.
Further investigation determined that Sikes had assaulted the male before he left the residence, according to Mercer.
Sikes was charged with deadly conduct for attempting to run her vehicle at the victim and reckless driving for speeding through the business parking lot.
When officers were searching Sikes and her purse, due to her arrest, drug paraphernalia with residue of methamphetamine was located along with a small amount of marijuana, the report states. *11:43 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of US Hwy 377 South, Dollar General, regarding theft. According to the report, a male suspect had stolen items from the store and left in a pickup. The license plate was provided and the suspect was located, identified and then issued a citation for theft less than $50.
*9:45 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Avenue D regarding an unwanted person. After an investigation, 36-year-old Markus Justin Harris was placed under arrest for assault by threat family violence, the report states. Harris was also later determined to have a warrant for his arrest from Michigan for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and was additionally served with the warrant, according to the report.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 39-year-old Gyan Aryal on a warrant related to sale to minors – alcohol.
*19-year-old Dustin Cates Baker of Bruceville turned himself in on multiple warrants related to minor in possession, two counts of violate promise to appear, and speeding 10% or more above limit.
*25-year-old Healther LeeAnn LaChance of Abilene turned herself in on a warrant related to theft of service equal to or greater than $20 less than $500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Jerry Allen Leonard for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brady Police arrested 22-year-old Timothy Scott Richardson of Brady on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Kenneth Wayne Baker for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Shawn Dean Couch on a Midland County warrant related to criminal nonsupport and a Kalamazoo County Michigan warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 45-year-old Victor Aaron McCallie of May for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
Sunday, November 10
*12:58 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding theft of property. According to the report, the complainant stated that a female subject she had just kicked out of her residence took a pair of her blue jeans which had $200 in $20 bills and $10 in quarters in the pocket.
*3:55 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1800 block of Waco Street regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the complainant stated that Chad Beasley was asleep on her front porch and that she wanted him to leave. The complainant also reported that Beasley had a trespass warning for her residence and that she wanted to pursue criminal charges, the report states. After the trespass warning was confirmed, 44-year-old Beasley was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
*7:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 2nd Street regarding a hit and run.
*10:05 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Investigator and a Brownwood Police Detective received information that a wanted person, identified as 38-year-old Courtney Dewayne Sallie, may be in Brownwood armed and in possession of methamphetamine for distribution, according to a report. Sallie was possibly driving a Cadillac and had an outstanding warrant from Henderson County, Texas for criminal non support, the report states. Sallie’s Cadillac was located at the Southside Village apartments and while under surveillance, Sallie returned to the Cadillac and was detained and arrested, according to the report. Sallie was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm out of Waxahachie, which gave probable cause for the officers to search the vehicle, the report states. The BCSO K-9 unit was deployed and alerted to the Cadillac, where an Arizona Tea can was found in the center console which had been altered to contain a secret compartment, according to the report. Inside the compartment, the officers found a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine (confirmed by field testing) weighing 9.7 grams, which is consistent with distribution, the report states. Sallie’s cell phone was also searched and found to contain communications that were indicative of narcotics distribution, according to the report. A significant amount of money was also found in Sallie’s possession, according to the report. Because Southside Village Apartments is located within 1000 feet of the Brownwood independent School District, Sallie was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams in a drug free zone. Sallie, 38, of Ennis, Texas, is an admitted former member of the criminal gang “Bloods” and has ties in the state of Louisiana, the report states.
*1:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Cordell Street regarding the theft of an iPad.
*11:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue D regarding terroristic threat. According to the report, the complainant stated that an acquaintance of hers had burst into her residence and threatened to fight her and her brother. The acquaintance then left the residence and the complainant wished to pursue criminal charges, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to County Road 294 regarding a disturbance in progress where shots were fired. According to the report, a male victim went to an address on CR 294 with a friend and was confronted by a male suspect, identified as Steven Michael Pringle. The male victim attempted to leave the property in his vehicle and as he was driving off, Pringle allegedly fired multiple rounds from a pistol in the direction of the victim’s vehicle according to the deputy. As a result of the shots fired, the victim’s left front tire blew out as he was leaving the property, the report states. Pringle began to pursue the victim in his vehicle, ramming the victim’s vehicle eventually disabling the it. According to reports, the victim attempted to flee from Pringle over a fence and was pursued by Pringle and then taken back to the roadway where the collision occurred. When deputies arrived, Pringle was pulling the victim’s vehicle back down the road to his property. Witnesses stated there were children present during the altercation between the two males, according to the report. The incident is pending further investigation according to Brown County Sheriff’s officials. Pringle was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and endanger child criminal negligence.
*44-year-old Marty Keller of Cleburne turned himself in on a warrant related to CRTC.

Monday, November 11
*7:18 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue I regarding an aggravated assault. According to the report, the complainant reported she had been assaulted by her boyfriend.
*7:28 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of 14th Street regarding criminal mischief.
*8:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Center Avenue regarding a missing person. According to the report, the officer met with HPU officer Bob Paccate who introduced him to a couple who reported their son had been expelled from HPU and had not returned to their home in Georgetown, Texas. A report was filed and an investigation has been initiated.
*9:24 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Melwood regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a vehicle had been vandalized and its tires had been slashed while parked outside of the residence.
*9:26 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue D regarding an unwanted person. This call led to a report being filed for assault with injury and criminal trespass.
*23-year-old Morgan Deann Banda of Early turned herself in on an indictment for possession of a controlled substance.

* Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle where several items were stolen.
