Thursday, November 8

*11:12pm-Brownwood Police were called to Coggin Park regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that while she was at the basketball court, someone shot out the back window of her vehicle.

Friday, November 9

*8:02am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Vine Street regarding possible child abuse/neglect.  According to the report, the investigation is ongoing.

*12:22pm-Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart, 401 W. Commerce, regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had left her wallet in a shopping cart, left the business and when she returned approximately ten minutes later, the wallet was gone. The complainant does wish to pursue criminal charges if a suspect can be determined.

*3:02pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of 4th Street regarding a report of possible child abuse.  According to the report, Child Protective Services statewide child abuse hotline was contacted and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

*5:51pm-Brownwood Police responded to the Brownwood Apartments, located in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive, regarding subjects making loud noises and drinking in the parking lot.  According to the report, the officer spoke with several individuals and told them to be quiet in the parking area and then the group left the area.  After speaking with the apartment complex, it was learned that one of the subjects had come into the office earlier intoxicated and yelled at the manager and pushed numerous items off her desk toward her.  A trespass warning was issued at management’s request.

Saturday, November 10

*2:19pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 6th Street and Avenue D regarding the theft of a stop sign.  According to police, the reporting party stated that he saw the sign at 8:00am; however when he returned home about noon that same day, the sign was gone.  The Brownwood street department was contacted and responded with a new sign.

*3:41pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Avenue B regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, the officer met with the owner of the damaged vehicle.  According to the report, the suspect vehicle was identified by witnesses as a tan over brown 1990s Ford Explorer occupied by two adult males.  The suspect vehicle sustained considerable damage to the front right of the vehicle, the report states.  A possible identity of the two males was determined; however neither the suspect vehicle nor either of the males was located at that time.

*5:05pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Avenue D regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her vehicle had been scratched and that she needed to file a report for insurance purposes.   The complainant did not wish to pursue criminal charges, the report states.

*7:55pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Belle Plain Street regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a photo of him and his new girlfriend was stolen and named his ex-girlfriend as the suspect.

Sunday, November 11

*12:07am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Vine Street regarding the attempted burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant woke to hear someone trying to break into the front door.  The complainant approached the front door from inside and whoever was trying to break into the residence broke one of the small windows in the door, causing a piece of glass to strike her on the forehead causing a small cut, the report states.  At that point, the woman ran to the back of the residence where her children were sleeping and called 9-1-1.

*3:50am-Brownwood Police were called to Coggin Park regarding a noise nuisance.  According to the report, the officer arrived and spoke with numerous people who were standing near a four-door pickup.  The officer told the people to keep the noise down because nearby residents were calling and complaining about the noise and if police were called back to the park, they would all be issued trespass warnings, the report states.

*3:04pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1900 block of Slayden Street regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine.  According to the report, the manager of the complex stated that an unknown subject entered the laundry facility and broke two Maytag washing machines and two Maytag commercial dryers and stole and unknown amount of coin money.  One of the apartment complex’s residents described a man who he had never seen before in the laundry room when he arrived, the report states.   According to the report, another laundry area at the complex was burglarized on November 6th in the same manner.   Management intends to pursue criminal charges if a suspect can be identified.

*5:52pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Golding Road regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that between the hours of 5:45am and 4:00pm; someone had scratched the passenger side of her vehicle with an unknown sharp object.   The complainant believed that the damage occurred while she was at work.

*6:29pm-A Brownwood Police officer on patrol was flagged down in the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding lost property.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his girlfriend assaulted him and that she would not return his personal items.
