Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, November 8, 2010.
Friday, October 5
*10:04am-Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of Main regarding found property. A bicycle was taken to the BPD impound. The owner of the bicycle may claim it with proper identification at BPD.
*3:10pm-Brownwood Police responded to an accident in the 1500 block of Main. After accident investigation, it was found that the at-fault driver had a suspended driver’s license with previous convictions the report states. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Douglas Dempsey Webb was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.
*7:08pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce in reference to theft. Upon arrival, the officer identified three males detained by the Wal-Mart staff related the theft the report states. Wal-Mart employees did not wish to pursue charges; however, at their request, the three males were issued criminal trespass warnings for Wal-Mart property and all subjects were released at the scene.
*10:34pm-A Brownwood Police officer was speaking with a clerk at a local convenience store regarding a gas theft, when they noted a pickup pull into the business parking lot and strike a metal stop post. According to the report, a male and a female (later identified as 44-year-old Rebecca Elizabeth Hudson), exited the vehicle and then entered the store to purchase cigarettes. While the pair was inside, the officer noted the Hudson’s eyes were bloodshot and red, her speech was slurred and she smelled of alcoholic beverage the report states. The officer followed as they exited the store and Hudson returned to the driver’s seat of the vehicle. After further investigation, Hudson was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated, 2nd, and her passenger, 46-year-old Ambers Steele was also placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.
*2:58pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Blanket regarding the theft of a homemade trailer. According to the report, the trailer had been parked near the bar ditch of the complainant’s home until it was stolen. He noticed it missing on November 5th according to the report. It is described as having a white bumper and a bulldog hitch and has bond-o on the right side fender.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a report of theft of services. According to the report, an employee of Comanche County Electrical Cooperative reported that electricity was being stolen at a deer camp. The employee took the deputy to the deer camp where two cables were seen extending from the meter box behind a house to the 220 volt outlet on the pole which had a window air conditioning unit plugged into it. According to the report, the wiring bypassed the meter box which made it impossible for the electricity to be accounted for. On January 1, 2010, another employee had responded to a service call at that location and observed the same wiring situation running the RV hookup the report states. The subject was informed at that time that he could not run wiring that way the report states. No charges were filed at the time; however, the general manager of Comanche County Cooperative now wishes to pursue charges.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Brownwood Iron and Metal in reference to stolen property that had been identified by an owner. According to the report, the owner had come to the business to look for property that had been stolen from a house he owned. The complainant found the property at the business at the same time the subject who had brought it in was still waiting to be paid for the property the report states.
Employees at the business attempted to stall the suspect, later identified as Johnny Lee Williamson, who then became nervous and left the police report states. Witnesses provided a copy of the suspect’s driver’s license and gave a vehicle description.
Later an anonymous tip came in that led the deputies to a residence on Avenue C where the Williamson’s vehicle was located. According to the report, permission to search the residence was given by the renter and Williamson was found hiding in a closet in the back room. As he was being arrested and read his Miranda Warning, Williamson admitted to taking the items from under the carport of the house which he had mistaken as being abandoned the report states. Williamson then led deputies to the location here he took the items and then was transported to the Brown County Jail.
Saturday, October 6
*9:30am-Brownwood Police responded to the 2400 block of Southside regarding theft. Further information led to the arrest of a subject for theft greater than $50, less than $500.
*10:20am-Brownwood Police responded to 2601 Crocket Drive, Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding a disorderly subject. Investigation led to the arrest of 46-year-old Billy Frank Hendrickson for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
*1:35pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the BCSO regarding a report of a burglary of a habitation. The victim named a suspect and advised that between October 2nd and October 30th, the suspect had allegedly stolen a key to her residence the report states. The complainant believed that the suspect had entered her residence while she was not home, stealing several pieces of jewelry along with some garden tools according to the report. Value of property stolen is estimated to be over $1500.
*4:41pm-A Brownwood Police officer was investigating a subject with possible warrants. 19-year-old Damien Lee Estrada was later found then arrested for Failure to Identify and for the outstanding warrants.
*11:34pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 1100 block of Vincent. After investigating, it was determined that several subjects were intoxicated and involved in a physical altercation the report states. Minor injuries were noted to two females and one male that occurred during the fight. Suspects have been identified; however, no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
*Bangs police arrested 23-year-old Joe Campos for Public Intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 47-year-old Robert Ronnie Wilson for Possession of Marijuana.
Sunday, October 7
*12:44am-Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for disregarding a traffic light according to police reports. The stop led to the arrest of 52-year-old Ricky Guinn Holmes for Driving While Intoxicated.
*1:05am-Brownwood Police were called to a disturbance. On arrival a suspect was issued a citation for assault by contact.
*3:41am-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of E. Baker regarding an assault. The call led to the arrest of 35-year-old Salamon Luis Nava for Aggravated Assault Family Violence with a Deadly Weapon and Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle.
*10:40am-Brownwood Police responded to a report of a hit and run that had occurred earlier in the parking lot of 3M earlier this week. The victim stated he did wish to pursue charges if a suspect is found.
*6:43pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Vine regarding domestic violence. According to the report the victim and a witness were identified and the victim was given information about family violence. The suspect had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival the report states. Property damage that had occurred during the incident was photographed. No arrest had been made at the time of the report.
*Brownwood Police arrested 29-year-old Jackie Lee Byrd of San Angelo for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Grade 1, less than 1g; Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
