Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, January 10, 2013.

*3:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of a vehicle and pedestrian accident on the corner of 4th Street and Phillips. Police officials said that a mother and child were walking across the street when a car turned the corner and made contact with them with the vehicle. Police officials said it was a “minor” incident. The Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS also responded to the scene.
*4:00 PM – Brownwood Police took a report by phone of theft. The complainant reported that someone stole a bottle of Hydrocodone medication.
*8:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Bowie Circle regarding theft. The complainant told police that six of her Hydrocodone pills were missing. A suspect was named and police are investigating.
*8:32 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 400 block of Coleman Street after observing a vehicle make several traffic violations, according to the police report. The driver, 53-year-old Jerry Smith of Brownwood, was arrested for DWI as a result of the stop.
*11:02 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a burglary of a motor vehicle. The complainant told police that her purse and wallet were taken from her vehicle that was parked outside of her residence.
