Wednesday, October 7
*2:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject had broken into her car and stole her wallet. A suspect was later identified and a warrant is being sought for the suspect’s arrest, the report states.
*11:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a residence on Bowie Circle regarding the burglary of a habitation. According the report, old coins, foreign money, $40,000 cash, a watch, a DVD player and money bags containing loan documents were stolen from the residence. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
Thursday, October 8
*4:43 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop regarding speeding. According to the report, during the roadside interview, the passenger, identified as 22-year-old Adijatu Disu surrendered a baggie containing 4.9 grams of marijuana which was in her possession. An additional 0.4 grams of marijuana was located in Disu’s purse along with paraphernalia and a small usable amount of marijuana under the passenger seat, according to the report. All three suspects, identified as 20-year-old Shantell Katelyn Thomas of Highlands, Texas, 20-year-old Mishae Tychelle Roper of Akron, Ohio, and Disu were arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.*10:03 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a property on FM 586 South regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, sometime between September 24th and October 8th an unknown suspect entered an unattached shed next to his residence and took car parts which were to be used to rebuild a vehicle. The suspect also took car parts from the back of another vehicle that the complainant was going to restore.
*6:28 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was contacted by Brownwood Fire Marshal Buddy Preston regarding a structure fire that had occurred on October 7th on County Road 588. According to the report, the owner of the burned home reported that some items were missing from the rubble. The items were later recovered at a neighbor’s home, the report states. A suspect was named, according to the deputy’s report.
*6:46 PM – Brownwood Police, with assistance from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, recovered a dirt bike stolen from San Antonio, Texas. No arrest had been made at the time of the report; however, the investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*7:16 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Penn Street regarding shots fired in the area. According to the report, a male subject in an SUV was located and after a short interview, it was found that was shooting his revolver handguns within the city limits. The male was issued a citation for discharging firearms within the city limits.
*10:33 PM – Brownwood Police were called to an apartment complex in the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding a subject with a weapon. According to the report, a male subject was walking in the parking lot with a shotgun and was last seen heading toward a gas station in the 3900 block of US Hwy 377 South. The responding officer located the male, identified as Patrick Leonard and ordered him to drop the shotgun, the report states. Leonard complied and was taken into custody without incident. An investigation found that Leonard was going to a nearby gas station to meet with a subject who wanted to fight, the report states. Leonard was found to have numerous shotgun shells on his person and the shotgun was loaded, according to the report. Leonard was also found to be intoxicated and determined to be a danger to himself and others, the report states. Leonard was arrested and charged with public intoxication. The gun and ammunition was seized and turned into the Brownwood Police Department, according to the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Anthony Francisco Duffy of Coleman on a warrant related to terroristic threat cause fear of severe bodily injury.
*Brownwood Police arrested 44-year-old Peter Lance Herring of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/driving while license invalid with prior conviction, driving while license invalid and violate promise to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Tiffani Rader of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of services equal or greater than $20 less than 500.
Friday, October 9
*4:54 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Alpine Drive regarding a suspicious person. According to the report, lights were being shined on a residence in the area. Officers arrived and made contact with the suspect identified as 35-year-old Paul Bean who became very upset that officers were checking on his welfare and began yelling profanity, the report states. Bean was given numerous opportunities to go into his residence and stay inside; however, he continued to exit his residence and was apprehended by an officer, the report states. Bean then began fighting the officers and was then arrested for disorderly conduct-breach of peace and resisting arrest, according to the report.
*12:42 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Adams Street regarding the theft. According to the report, a bicycle was stolen from the common area of the apartment complex between 8:00 p.m. on October 8th and 12:40 a.m. on October 9th.
