Monday, October 7
*11:07 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, Brookeshire’s grocery store, regarding theft by check. According to the report, a suspect has been identified.
Tuesday, October 8
*8:56 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Milam Drive regarding theft. According to the report, a City of Brownwood employee had observed a theft of metal and was following the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle came to a stop in the 2300 block of 16th Street, the report states. As a result of this call, the suspect identified as 34-year-old Juan Hernandez, Jr. was arrested for theft of property greater than $50 less than $500.
*1:06 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of Tannehill Drive regarding a possible burglary in progress. According to the report, the caller stated that two males had gotten out of a vehicle parked a couple of blocks from the residence. This call resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old Kenny Edward Slaughter and 18-year-old Nathan Wilson for trespassing of a habitation and evading arrest or detention.*2:49 PM – Brownwood assisted Adult Probation on a probation search in the 2800 block of Southside Drive. During the search, a quantity of methamphetamine and paraphernalia was located inside the residence. The resident, identified as 21-year-old Hailey Michelle Perry, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
*3:39 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of N. Center Avenue, Hastings, regarding theft. According to the report, an employee was identified as the suspect and $80.00 had been stolen.
*6:42 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Adams Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the male victim stated that he had moved to the 500 block of Main Street to get away from the suspect. An investigation of the incident revealed that an assault had taken place and the incident is being further investigated, the report states.
*10:50 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Belle Plain Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant reported that he observed two of his vehicle’s right side tires had been “slashed” after he had observed a subject he knew and had past problems with walking away from the vehicle. The complainant also advised that the subject has a criminal trespass warning for the address. Replacement of the tires is estimated at $500 per tire, the report states.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 37-year-old Daniel Barras-Lann on warrants related to theft and failure to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 57-year-old David Henry Bivins of Richland Springs on warrants related to two counts of failure to appear driving while intoxicated, failure to appear/theft by check and indictments related to evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance. Bivins was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $77,000 as of Wednesday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Quienton Donyale Franklin for warrants related to aggravated assault date/family/house member with weapons, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, and burglary of a habitation with intent to assault. Franklin was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $300,000 as of Wednesday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 56-year-old Nicki Dawn King of Brownwood for warrants related to forgery, and two counts of driving while intoxicated and credit card or debit card abuse.
*23-year-old Devin Loshe of San Angelo turned himself in on a warrant related to failure to appear/driving while license invalid.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Christopher Alton Morris of Santa Anna for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Rachel Nelson for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 29-year-old Stacey Raquel Ruiz on a Brown County warrant related to fraudulent possession of a controlled substance/prescription schedule III and a Taylor county warrant related to theft. Ruiz was held in lieu of bonds totaling $35,500 as of Wednesday morning.
*Bangs Police arrested 19-year-old Mistie Dawn Russell of Troy for prohibited sexual conduct. Russell was being held in lieu of $20,000 bond as of Wednesday morning.
Wednesday, October 9
*3:14 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2900 block of 4th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Jimmy Wayne Sellers of Bangs, was arrested for assault family violence.
*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Alicia Nicole King of Early for public intoxication.
