Tuesday, October 2

*1:00pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the scene of an accident at the area of Asbury and 11th Street.  According to the report, the call led to a warrant being issued for one of the drivers involved for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

Wednesday, October 3

*Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a case of fraud.  According to the report, the complainant stated that some unknown suspect(s) used her debit card number to pay a TXU electric bill.

Friday, October 5

*7:33am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue A regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant stated that after tenants were evicted, they removed several appliances which belonged to the owner when they moved out.

*8:15am-Brownwood Police were called to the 4300 block of 4th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, surveillance video was obtained which shows the complainant’s vehicle and charges will be pursued if a suspect can be identified.

*2:12pm-The Brownwood City Marshal was on a warrant service in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, at 401 W. Commerce.  Freddie Thomas was arrested for the outstanding warrant and the additional charge of failure to identify fugitive.

*3:00pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s investigator made a traffic stop on a vehicle after it failed to signal a turn.  The driver, identified as Autumn Alexander is on probation for drug offenses according to the report.  According to a search condition on her parole, Alexander’s vehicle and motel room was searched, the report states.  Investigators found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and 0.8 grams of packaged cocaine, a pipe with methamphetamine residue along with 0.7 grams of marijuana.  The motel was within 1000 feet of Victory Life Academy which is a drug free zone.  Alexander was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*3:13pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Elizabeth regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone struck the driver’s side of her daughters’ 2004 Dodge Stratus.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy met with a complainant regarding a theft which had occurred at his property on County Road 132 near Grosvenor.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone came onto his property in the last two days and stole two electric motors and approximately 320 feet of electric service wire.  The total value of the stolen property is estimated to be $1320.00.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*5:55pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 13th Street regarding a 14-year-old child being defiant and arguing with her father.  According to the report, the incident led to the arrest of Rene Duran for assault family violence by strangulation.   The child was released to a family friend.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was received a report of missing firearms.  According to the report, the complainant was unsure how long the rifle and shot gun had been missing but suspected a previous roommate may have stolen the guns from his residence on CR 551 and pawned them in Brownwood or Weatherford.

Saturday, October 6

*3:04am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Magnolia Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the investigation determined that Alexis Soria was the primary aggressor.  She was arrested for assault causes injury family violence.

*9:06am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, an RV had been broken into which was located in the back open bays of the storage facility.  Because the RV is furnished and equipped to reside in, this incident is being investigated as a burglary of a habitation, the report states.

*12:08pm-Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a Brown County Ranch where a complainant reported that a deer feeder and an outdoor wildlife camera was stolen from his deer lease.

*2:08pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft of a bicycle.

*2:59pm-Brown County Sheriff’s investigator made a traffic stop on a vehicle.  According to the report, when the officer approached the driver, he noted a smell of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.  A probable cause search of the vehicle found a usable amount of marijuana and alprazolam pills which were packaged for distribution hidden in a void inside the truck of the vehicle, the report states.  25-year-old Christopher Williams of Austin was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

*5:26pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 13th Street regarding theft of property.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male stole his Direct TV satellite dish.  The suspect could not be identified or located.

*8:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Avenue A regarding theft.  According to the report, a suspect was named who was believed to have stolen the complainant’s cell phone, valued at $250.00.  The suspect was contacted and denied stealing the phone, which could not be located.

*8:50pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Center Avenue, Hastings regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 40-year-old Wanda Roe, 32-year-old Michael Massey, 20-year-old Elizabeth Roe, and 18-year old Kristopher Roe  for engaging in organized crime.

*9:43pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue, Coggin Park, regarding a possible domestic disturbance and criminal mischief that had taken place.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had verbally threatened her and damaged the windshield of her vehicle.  Officers were later dispatched to a continuation of the incident in the 2300 block of 7th Street, the report states.  The suspect could not be located.

Sunday, October 7

*1:06am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 500 block of Fisk Avenue which led to the arrest of Linley Rinhart for driving while intoxicated.

*2:01pm-Brownwood Police located several juveniles walking in the 1300 block of Slayden Street and witnessed two of them smoking cigarettes.  The 17-year-old male was cited for minor in possession as was the 15-year-old female who was then transported home to her mother.  The tobacco was seized and logged into the evidence room of the Brownwood Police Department, the report states.

*5:42pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Dublin Street regarding theft of several house plants from the residence.  A possible suspect was named, the report states.

*5:53pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 4300 block of 9th Street regarding an animal complainant.  According to the report, a dog attacked the complainant’s dog and then jumped on the complainant.  The owner of the dog was located and issued a citation for animal at large.

*8:34pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant advised he had been punched in the mouth by another male.  The suspect was located and stated he did punch the complainant, but in defense of his wife who had been assaulted by the complainant.  No arrests were made on scene, however the incident was documented, the report states.

*10:29pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding theft of medication.  A possible suspect was named, the report states.

*11:18pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Monterrey Street regarding an animal bite.  According to the report, a female was bitten by a stray cat.

Monday, October 8

*2:02am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue, Lilli’s Food Store, regarding an alarm.  According to the report, the alarm company indicated that the drive-thru window alarm had been triggered.  Upon arrival, the officer found that someone had broken the drive-thru window of the business and made entry.

*2:55am-Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop on a male subject in the 800 block of Coggin Avenue.  According to the report, the male was found to be in possession of property belonging to Wal-Mart.   No arrest was made at the time of the report; however a report was filed about incident.

*7:51pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding an accident.  According to the report, the driver identified as Julian Sanchez, struck another vehicle in the parking lot of the Lilli Food Mart.  Sanchez was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
