Thursday, October 3
*10:16 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an estray bull which had been penned by a resident on FM 1176. According to the report, the landowner requested that BCSO haul the bull to the Law Enforcement Center.
*4:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 234 regarding the theft of medication. According to the report, the pills were identified as Morphine Sulfate and were valued at $268.40.
Friday, October 4
*4:30 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the report of a burglary of a habitation located on County Road 409. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been out of town for several weeks and returned to find his front door had been pried open and that two plastic tubs of miscellaneous tools were taken. An exact description of the tools was not available at the time of the report.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a location on Count Road 202 regarding an attempted theft of a trailer. According to the report, the caller reported that two white males in a blue Ford pickup had attempted to take a trailer, and when confronted by the owner of the trailer, they fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was located a short time later and upon a probable cause search of the vehicle, a used smoking pipe was located, which field tested positive for methamphetamine. The occupant of the truck, identified as 27-year-old Justin Lynn Weiershausen of Blanket, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief on US Hwy 377 South, approximately three miles north of the Colorado River. According to the report, the caller stated that an unidentified object hit the windshield of his pickup while he was traveling north on US Hwy 377 South and that he believed his pickup windshield had been struck by a gunshot, causing extensive damage.
Monday, October 7
*5:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3900 block of Glenwood Drive regarding to illegal dumping. According to the report, the complainant stated that some scrap lumber, 8 pieces of 2 x 4 lumber, had been thrown onto his front yard. A suspect has been named and the complainant did wish to pursue criminal charges, the report states.
*10:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of 2nd Street regarding a runaway juvenile. According to the report, the complainant stated that his 16-year-old daughter had not returned home from her mother’s residence, the report states.
*10:33 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of N. Fisk Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, dispatch advised the responding officer that the caller had been punched in the face by her boyfriend and that he was throwing rocks at her vehicle. Both subjects were identified and the incident is under further investigation, the report states.
*Brownwood Police arrested 39-year-old Jennifer Michelle Diaz of May on a warrant related to a parole violation.
*Brownwood Police arrested 41-year-old Misty Berryhill Pierce of Bangs on warrants related to failure to appear/motor vehicle inspection and expired motor vehicle inspection.
*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Jimmy Wayne Sellers of Bangs for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Brown county Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Lakisha Jenae Stembridge on warrants related to failure to maintain financial responsibility, violate promise to appear and driving while license suspended.
Tuesday, October 8
*1:23 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of 4th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the calling party stated that a white male entered the store and stole a 30-pack of beer, then fled the scene in a blue pickup.
*3:30 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Belle Plain regarding a reckless driver. This call led to the arrest of 48-year-old John Randal Cox for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
