Tuesday, October 4
*7:32am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of 1st Street regarding criminal mischief. The complainant stated that sometime after 10:00pm someone had slashed three tires on her vehicle, the report states. The tires are valued at $378.00.
*11:11am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Cottage regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that she believed seven envelopes she had placed into her mailbox at approximately 7:00pm the previous day had been stolen. The envelopes contained checks made out to businesses that she owed money to, the report states. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*12:26am-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend, against whom she has a protective order.
*5:24pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 10th Street regarding the theft of a bicycle. Investigation determined that the bicycle was stolen from the garage of the residence. The bicycle was described as a grey 20” BMX valued at $320. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*7:49pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Irma for a noise complaint. While investigating, it was determined that a juvenile female had assaulted her sister with a knife, the report states.
*11:21pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim stated that she was assaulted by her live-in boyfriend by offensive touch and that she was not injured. The suspect was gone upon officers arrival and could not be located. The complainant did not know the suspect’s full identity, the report states.
* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 63-year-old Bonne Fay Helmer for Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz.
Wednesday, October 5
*12:06am-Brownwood Police responded to the burglary of a habitation. Officers met with the complainant who stated several items belonging to him and two other friends were stolen from a residence on Durham Avenue, the report states.
* Early Police Department arrested 36-year-old Bradley Ryan Horton of Mullin for Theft of Service greater than $1500 less than $20,000, Failure to Identify Fugitive, and for an outstanding Howard County warrant.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
