Wednesday, October 29

*8:28 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Adams Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.  According to the report, the bicycle was stolen from the complainant’s yard while she was out of town.

*9:15 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Waco Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that some unknown subject had vandalized their property for the past two days.

*2:05 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, an incident of theft had been caught on the store’s security video and a male subject had been identified by a former employee.  The incident is under further investigation, the report states.

*3:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant advised that her son had damaged her vehicle by kicking the passenger door of her car because he was mad.  The complainant stated she wanted to file charges and provided an estimate of the damages, the report states.

Thursday, October 30

*12:59 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding a hit and run accident.  The complainant’s vehicle was struck by an unknown red vehicle while it was parked in a local business parking lot.  No description of the vehicle was available, other than its color as it left transfer paint from the impact on the complainant’s vehicle.

*4:59 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Avenue K and 1st Street regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant advised that an unknown subject had just struck her vehicle and fled the scene.

*10:23 PM –  A Brownwood Police officer observed a dark colored pickup causing damage to the soccer field at Coggin Park, 2001 Austin Avenue,  by doing “doughnuts” in the open grassy area of the field after it had just rained.  The pickup left the park, entering onto the 2100 block of 1st Street and the officer attempted a traffic stop by activating his emergency overhead lights, the report states.  The vehicle turned onto Parkway accelerating rapidly in an attempt to flee, according to the officer, continuing on Parkway to Elizabeth Drive and then turning left onto Poindexter where it eventually pulled over in the 1200 block of Poindexter, near the 2700 block of Elizabeth Drive.   The front passenger, identified as Alex Villareal, exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away from the scene, the report states.  The officer got out of his patrol unit and ordered Villareal back into the pickup for his own safety and he complied, the report states.  The back passenger, Arthur Villareal became belligerent and began attempting to argue about being detained, the officer reported.  A second BPD officer arrived on scene and all three occupants of the vehicle were removed from the pickup and handcuffed, according to the report.  Arthur continued to be belligerent, cursing and arguing aggressively about being detained and was warned about his language and did not cease his action, the report states.  22-year-old Arthur Villareal of Brownwood was arrested for disorderly conduct abusive/profane language.  The driver, identified as 28-year-old Juan Jose Garcia of Plainview, was arrested for evading in a vehicle as well as class A criminal mischief to Coggin Park (damage estimated at $500-$1500).  24-year-old Alexander Villarreal of Brownwood, a wanted subject gave false information to officers, knowing that he had active warrants for his arrest, and was arrested for the two warrants and additionally for failure to identify fugitive, the report states.  The pickup, registered to Garcia, was initially taken for possible seizure due to the pursuit; however, it was returned due to it not being owned by Garcia, according to BPD officials.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old David Hernandez of East Chicago, Indiana on a warrant related to delivery of marijuana greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 27-year-old Jordan Griffin of Austin for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*22-year-old Donna Mae Kinsey of Brownwood turned herself in on warrants related to speeding, violate promise to appear and driving while license invalid.

*29-year-old Martin Joseph Mata turned himself in on warrants related to failure to maintain financial responsibility, no driver’s license, and failure to comply with requirements striking.

Friday, October 31

*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Timothy Scott Barrow of Brownwood for evading arrest/detention.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Andrea Renae Mendoza of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
