Friday, September 30
*3:00 PM – Brownwood Police officers located a wanted subject, identified as 26-year-old Robert Kalaeb Lynch of Brownwood, who had previously fled during a warrant service, in the 2500 block of Durham Avenue. According to the report, Lynch was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center where he was released to the care of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office jail staff.
*3:42 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Temple Avenue regarding a firearm being stolen. The handgun was entered as stolen and the incident documented.
*4:11 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding an assault.
*9:08 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Poindexter and 4th Street. An investigation led to the discovery of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. This stop led to the arrest of 34-year-old Stephanie Baker of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.*11:17 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop in about the 3200 block of Hwy 279 regarding speeding. According to the report, the driver, identified as 57-year-old William Glen Rickey of Midland, Texas, was arrested for driving while license invalid. The passenger, 64-year-old Rita Boone Cone of Midland, Texas was arrested on a warrant. While searching for open containers, a baggie of cocaine weighing 1.08 grams was found under the front passenger seat, the report states. An additional baggie of cocaine weighing 3.35 grams and a bag containing 4.5 grams of marijuana was found during a probable cause search, according to the report. Subsequently, Rickey was additionally charged with possession of marijuana and Cone was additionally charged with controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 400 grams and possession of marijuana.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of the theft of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that his 2010 Dodge Charger was taken by a known subject without his permission. The vehicle was released to the complainant’s ex-wife after he was arrested at approximately 7:30 a.m. on this date. Norman’s arrest on 9-30-16, at approximately 7:30 a.m. A female was staying with the ex-wife’s residence and the next day, she woke to find the female guest, the complainant’s car, a pistol, and some money missing.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 34-year-old Thomas Carl Norman of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Leah Sandoval Yabut of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
Saturday, October 1
*1:59 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the burglaries of two vehicles in the 500 block of E. Commerce. According to the report, one of the victims was able to give a description of the suspect and the vehicle he fled in. Officers located the suspect vehicle, and a traffic stop was initiated which led to the arrest of 22-year-old Pierce Stevenson of Austin, Texas for two counts of burglary of a vehicle and driving while intoxicated with an open container. Another suspect was interviewed and later released when numerous items were located in the suspect vehicle and in a hotel room.
*12:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the alleyway near gate #1 at the law enforcement center regarding a suspicious call. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 21-year-old Victor Joe Ramirez, Jr. of Earth, Texas for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence.
*3:28 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Magnolia Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged. A suspect has been identified, the report states.
*5:29 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, pajama pants, two pairs of house shoes and beef jerky were stolen from the business.
*11:56 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Magnolia regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle was damaged/destroyed.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 25-year-old Jacob Dean Curry of Brownwood on a warrant related to speeding 25 or more over the posted speed limit.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Richard Paul Fields of Brownwood on warrants related to two counts of unrestrained dog, public intoxication and a Brownwood municipal court warrant.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Quinn Lappley Miller of Lubbock, Texas for driver’s license/ID false and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Sunday, October 2
*9:59 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Avenue G regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, an incident of terroristic threat is pending further investigation.
*10:01 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Durham Avenue regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, during the burglary of a building, the owner of the property was struck by the suspect.
*10:21 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Center Avenue regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged in the 2000 block of Hwy 377.
*11:31 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.
*12:11 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 1st Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the passenger window of the complainant’s window was damaged/destroyed.
*1:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding a hit and run accident.
*6:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue regarding an assault. A suspect was identified, the report states.
*9:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle which failed to signal a turn within 100 ft. of an intersection. According to the report, a traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle at Early Blvd. this stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 39-year-old Christopher Alexander Nunez of Harker Heights, Texas for possession of controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, driving while license invalid and possession of drug paraphernalia.
*9:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the residence in south Brownwood regarding an assault. According to the report, a female stated she had been assaulted by her husband at a city park and she did wish to pursue charges.
*9:21 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Avenue H regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, two people were treated for minor scrapes and cuts. The victim refused to press charges and the incident was documented.
*9:54 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The incident was documented.
*12:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Early Blvd. regarding a civil dispute. According to the report, during an investigation, an open alcohol container was discovered in the vehicle.
*Brownwood Police arrested 37-year-old Daniel Floyd Landers of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to appear and driving while license invalid.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to Cherokee Drive in Thunderbird Bay to a report of a dispute between a belligerent confrontational landlord and a tenant of a rent house. According to the report, the tenant stated that her landlord along with a known male subject had broken into her house while she was away. The men had taken some of her property in lieu of payment for fees the landlord claimed the tenant owed, the report states.
