Friday, September 26
*5:16 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Melwood regarding the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect took his car for a test drive and has not returned it.
Wednesday, October 1
*7:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Calvert Drive, Brownwood Middle School regarding an assault with injury. According to the report, an investigation determined that an assault had occurred and a female juvenile was taken into custody, transported to the Brownwood Police Department for processing and then transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. The juvenile was placed into the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DEAP) for 45 days as school discipline, the report states.
*11:54 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 9th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that she asked a known subject to leave the residence because he was intoxicated and being rude to other people in the house. The complainant stated that this made the suspect angry and that he threw his beer bottle at her vehicle as he left, breaking the window of the vehicle, according to the officer’s report. The cost to replace the window was estimated at $450, according to the report.Thursday, October 2
*4:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, loss prevention employees had a female suspect, identified as 19-year-old Keerstine Paige Wells of Brownwood, detained for theft. The employee stated that Wells had paid for several items but did not pay for others before attempting to leave the store, the report states. Items taken by Wells included a scrap book, stickers, diaper bag, bottle brush, marker, formula and other items which were valued at $83.04. Wells was issued a criminal trespass warning for Walmart, charged with theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*5:51 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy arrested a male identified as 42-year-old Paul Allen Boykin of Brownwood for public intoxication after being found lying down in the middle of the roadway in the intersection of County Road 199 and US Hwy 377. Boykin was also arrested on a warrant out of Texas Pardons and Parole, the report states.
*6:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, loss prevention employees observed a female shoplifting items from the store which totaled $194.61. The report states that the female was seen putting items inside a container which were never paid for. This call led to the arrest of 21-year-old Maria Rodriguez of Brownwood for theft equal or greater than $50 less than $500, the report states.
*7:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Brady Avenue regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, several storage units were determined to have been burglarized. It was unknown, at the time of the report, if any items were stolen, the report states. An inventory of the units is pending, according to police.
*11:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 19-year-old Juan Romero of Brownwood on charges of interference of public duties and disorderly conduct.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, tools were stolen during the burglary.
*Brownwood Police arrested a 16-year-old female subject on a warrant service. According to the report, when the officer took the juvenile to the Abilene Juvenile Detention Center, staff refused to accept her into their custody because she had taken illegal narcotics (methamphetamine) earlier in the day. The officer then took her to a hospital in Abilene for evaluation, according to officials. She was released with documents that she was medically clear to be in police custody, which also stated: “Stop using illegal drugs. Return to the emergency room for any new or worsening symptoms.”
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Christopher Brian Boyd of Brownwood on a warrant related to tamper/fabricate physical evidence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Donald Gene Gilbert of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Jonathan O’Donnell of Stamford on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.
*Bangs Police arrested 28-year-old Fernando Santos Perez of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to identify fugitive intent to give false information.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Kelle Stinnett for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
Friday, October 3
*2:35 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief in the Kohler plant parking lot. According to the report, the complainant stated that his front tire looked low and he noticed two small puncture holes in the sidewall of the tire. A possible suspect was named.
*Early Police arrested 43-year-old James Timothy Chambers of Early for driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Megan LaJean George of Brownwood on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal.
