Tuesday, October 1

*2:12 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant who stated that her daughter’s ex-boyfriend had allegedly assaulted her daughter.  Contact was made with the victim about the incident and a report was generated, according to police.

Wednesday, October 2

*7:20 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Avenue K regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, the caller stated that her place of business, Dr. Kennon McLean’s dental office had been burglarized.  The front wooden door was damaged in the incident and several items were stolen including a money bag with cash and checks made payable to the business and a Visa credit card, the report states.  The incident was believed to have occurred between 9:00 p.m. on October 1st and 7:20 a.m. October 2nd, according to the report.

*7:39 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of 11th Street regarding a hit and run crash.

*8:06 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue H regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had broken into his apartment by breaking a window and stole several items including a microwave, a bucket of tools, a wine chiller, a computer monitor and a clothing steamer.

*3:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  This call led to the arrest of 18-year-old Mikayla Elizabeth Burckhard and 18-year-old Katheryn Elizabeth Wright for theft greater than $50 less than $500.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old William Dewayne Covington of Austin on warrants related to possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds, no driver’s license and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Lekurt Kwame Fisher of Abilene on warrants related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and motion to adjudicate/sexual assault of a child.

Thursday, October 3

*1:29 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that during the overnight hours of 10:00 p.m. and 1:29 a.m., an unknown suspect entered his unlocked apartment and stole two packs of cigarettes valued at $8.00 from the freezer.  The apartment had been rummaged through with drawers and cabinets left open, the report states.  The complainant did not have suspect information; however he did wish to pursue criminal charges if a suspect(s) can be identified.

*3:31 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Avenue B regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a subject only known to him by first name was harassing him by text messages.  The suspect was later identified and the harassment documented, the report states.
