Friday, October 26
*1:00pm-The Brownwood Police officer assigned to patrol at Brownwood High School was asked by the administration to issue a juvenile a trespass warning for 3206 Milam Drive, Gordon Wood Stadium, and all other BISD properties according to the report. The trespass warning was issued and signed by the juvenile, the report states.
*1:09pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft in the 600 block of Center Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject stole his wallet which contained various credit cards, identification and $20 cash.
*6:35pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Avenue D regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the complainant’s fiancée’s vehicle was struck while parked along the roadway in front of the residence. Damaged was the vehicle’s left rear quarter panel, left tail light, and rear bumper, the report states. The complainant’s fiancée did wish to pursue charges.
*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Dalton Deleon for driving while intoxicated.
Saturday, October 27
*1:06pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 6th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant was in the process of moving from a residence on 6th Street to a house on Austin Avenue and that he still had property at the 6th Street address. When he returned to the house on 6th Street to retrieve some items, he found his laptop, Xbox 360 Kinect motion sensor and four video games were missing, the report states. The complainant’s roommate thought he had already taken the items; however the complainant believed known suspects took the items, according to police. After a short time, the complainant returned stating that the items had been recovered from a family member and that he did not wish to pursue criminal charges, the report states.
*4:35pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim stated that she was assaulted earlier in the day by her common law spouse at their residence. The officer observed and photographed a large bruised and swollen area on the victim’s forehead, where she stated the suspect had struck her several times with his fist, the report states.
*8:18pm-Brownwood police were called to the 3900 block of 1st Street regarding a possible domestic disturbance.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Lekurt Kwame Fisher for disorderly conduct.
Sunday, October 28
*1:12am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Slayden Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the officer was flagged down while on patrol in the area by a 30-year-old female regarding the assault.
*1:24pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3000 block of Avenue E regarding suspicious activity. A neighbor was reportedly removing items without permission from a house in that block, the report states. These items included a wheel barrow, Christmas lights and a dart board. After speaking with the neighbor and a second subject, the officer was told that they had permission from the owner of the property to remove the items and that the owner was in a nursing home; however the neighbor could not provide the officer with contact information or the name of the nursing home. The property was returned to the home, pending contact with the owner of the property or legal custodian and no charges were filed at the time of the report, according to law enforcement.
*1:42pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft of service greater than or equal to $20 less than $500. According to the report, suspects left East Palace without paying for two buffet dinners and soft drinks.
*4:52pm-Brownwood Police met with a subject who reported finding a wallet lying in the middle of the roadway in the 1600 block of Austin Avenue. Unable to locate the owner, the wallet was turned into the Brownwood Police Department’s property room for safe keeping until the owner can be located, the report states.
*6:58pm-Brownwoood Police were called to the 3600 block of Austin Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been assaulted by his nephew, 27-year-old Brandon Shane McCarthy. Guardian EMS was contacted; however the complainant refused medical assistance. McCarthy was arrested, charged with assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Brownwood Police received a report of reckless damage in the 4700 block of River Oaks Drive. According to the report, a vehicle had struck the complainant’s mailbox around 3:00pm on October 25th and the driver came to his house to provide his personal and insurance information. Rather than reporting the incident to his insurance company, the parties agreed the driver could repair the mailbox himself; however the driver had failed to make the repairs and is not returning the complainant’s phone calls.
Monday, October 29
*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Ruth Mariza Bosquez of Arlington for driving while intoxicated, 1st.
