Friday, October 24
*7:57 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Slayden Street regarding a minor in possession of alcohol. According to the report, a student was found to be in possession of alcohol and was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol. Additionally, the juvenile was placed into the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) for forty five days as school discipline.
*9:37 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Beaver Street regarding theft. A male complainant stated that a female had stolen his rototiller from the yard of his residence, the report states.
*11:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 South, Schaffer Motors (a used car lot), regarding a stolen check. According to the report, the complainant stated that two known subjects purchased a car from him with a stolen check. The check was collected and further investigation is pending, the report states.
*1:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft. This call led to the arrest of both 25-year-old Douglas Cooper and Amanda Cooper of Brownwood for theft.
*3:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Avenue C regarding a possible sexual assault of a child. CPS advised that an investigation had been started by their agency after receiving a report from one of the child’s relatives who was babysitting and was provided information he found concerning. The suspect is another relative, the report states. Further investigation is needed, the report states.*5:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding criminal trespass. According to the report, 22-year-old Monica Salazar of Brownwood was arrested for criminal trespassing at a business in the area.
*5:39 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of interference with child custody.
*7:48 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of County Road 292 regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant believed sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 7:40 p.m. a known suspect came to his travel trailer where he lives and damaged several items on the trailer. The items include an electric water heater, valued at $400 and a refrigerator, valued at $300, the report states. The damage to the water heater also caused water damage as the water heater flooded the trailer, according to the report.
*10:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue I regarding a domestic disturbance.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on South Broadway in Brownwood regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the only item missing from the residence was a bottle of Xanax pills.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Alexander Beustring of Fulshear, Texas on a Travis County warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Amanda Kay Jefferson of Brownwood for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
Saturday, October 25
*6:55 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3000 block of Cottage Street regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, the complainant stated that she arrived home to find someone had struck her pickup and a mailbox with a vehicle. An investigation was performed and damage to both the vehicle and mailbox was estimated to be over $50 less than $500.
*8:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated an unknown suspect had keyed her vehicle during the overnight hours.
*9:21 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of the theft of a bike from a residence in the 3200 block of Stephen F. Austin. According to the report, the incident occurred sometime between October 23rd and 24th.
*1:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, a female was being detained for shoplifting and at the request of the store’s asset protection employee; the female was issued a citation for theft along with a criminal trespass warning for the property.
*8:52 PM – Brownwood Police observed a vehicle in the 1400 block of Houston Street at a vacant building which is known to be a high drug area, with no lighting from the street lights or the vehicle. According to the report, as the officer first pulled up to the location, he noted quick movement inside the vehicle, which he believed added to the suspicious activity. Further investigation led to the arrest of two individuals, identified as 19-year-old Bryton McNeese of May and 17-year-old Nicole Gravitt of Brownwood, for possession of marijuana, the report states.
*10:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, a female subject was issued a citation for theft less than $50.
*11:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Avenue B regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, it was discovered later that a male at the location had failed to register as a sex offender as required by law.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Sandra Denise Lankford of Brownwood on a Taylor County warrant related to motion to revoke driving while intoxicated.
Sunday, October 26
*9:57 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of 6th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, two relatives were involved in the disturbance and each stated they were assaulted by the other party.
*Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the area of County Road 190 and CR 189 regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the deputy located the male half of the disturbance who was intoxicated and stated that his girlfriend had assaulted him after an argument about a phone. The girlfriend arrived on scene and admitted to assaulting the male and a report for assault was made, the report states. The male half, identified as 22-year-old Ryan Michael Junkert of Weatherford was intoxicated in a public place to the point that he posed a danger to himself and was arrested for public intoxication, the report states.
Monday, October 27
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Zachary Omar Quineros of Coleman on warrants related to failure to maintain financial responsibility and violate promise to appear.
