Sunday, October 23
*4:07pm-A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol when a male subject flagged him down near the intersection of Beaver and Hetzel Streets. According to the report, the male stated that he was the victim of an assault by a family member that had occurred earlier in the day. The officer was able to locate the other two people involved in the incident who stated they were the victims of the assault and not the offenders, the report states. No arrests were made at the time of the report; however charges may be filed pending further investigation.
Wednesday, October 26
*8:41am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3900 block of Glenwood regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant advised that her granddaughter was in the bathroom “yelling.” The officer spoke with the girl who stated that she had a toothache and was just in a lot of pain, the report states. Investigation revealed that no threats were made to either complainant and that her granddaughter did not wish to do any harm to herself.
*11:29am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Belmeade regarding criminal mischief to a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant advised that he had reported an incident of his vehicle being egged on October 18th; however at the time he did not wish to file a report. The complainant advised that he now wished to to file a report due to the vehicle being shot twice with a BB gun, the report states. The officer observed a crack to the driver’s window which had circular damage as well as a circular dent above the rear wheel well on the driver’s side, which were consistent with being shot by a BB gun. According to the report, the complainant felt the damage may have been caused during the prior incident of egging which may have masked the damage until it was cleaned from the vehicle.
*11:51am-Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of Avenue K. According to the report, while the officer was en route, dispatch advised him that the female half of the disturbance had left the scene to go back to school. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the male half of the argument who stated that he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument over the use of a cell phone, the report states. When the officer spoke with the female, she stated that she called to make sure the male was not “trashing” her house, according to police.
*6:02pm-Brownwood Police took a report regarding stolen medication. According to the report, the complainant stated that the medication was taken from a vehicle while it was being repaired and that several of the employees had seen the car while it was at the shop for approximately 1 hour, the report states. The incident is under investigation.
*8:17pm-Brownwood Police were called to 1620 Austin Avenue, Dairy Queen, regarding a problem with several customers. After investigation, it was decided by the complainant that the persons who caused the problem were no longer wanted on the property and they were issued criminal trespass warnings for the business, the report states.
*8:51pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Avenue D regarding a disturbance with several females in a vehicle. Upon investigation, it was determined that several family members were involved in a dispute that alleged several criminal acts including criminal mischief to a vehicle and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, the report states.
*11:16pm-Brownwood police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an unruly and intoxicated patient. According to the report, after speaking with the patient, police learned she had been assaulted and sustained a broken wrist. A suspect has been named and charges are being filed according to the report.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
