Thursday, October 21
*Brownwood Police received a report from a complainant that a known female subject had damaged his bicycle while it was parked in the bicycle rack at the soup kitchen on Lakeway Drive.
Friday, October 22
*1:02am-Brownwood Police responded to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive where they met with a female who wished to report possible selling of prescription drugs. Information has been gathered and forwarded to the narcotics division the report states.
Monday, October 25
*9:32am-A complainant came to Brownwood Police Department to report a case of identity theft. According to the report, the complainant said he was contacted by a collections agency about an outstanding debt with AT&T, with which he has no account. Upon further investigation, it was found that two accounts were opened in the man’s name and with his social security number the report states. At the time of the report, it is believed that the suspects live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; however no arrests have been made.
*11:59pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of 4th Street regarding an accident. According to a witness account, a green pickup truck was dragging a City of Brownwood dumpster attached to the truck down the street. Another witness stated that the driver had backed out of a driveway after being in an argument and hit the dumpster, piercing it with the trailer hitch. The truck was located along with its driver, identified as 24-year-old David Gilbert, a few blocks away. Gilbert admitted to dragging the dumpster behind his truck and was placed under arrest the report states. He was charged with Criminal Mischief and Duty on Striking Fixture.
