Wednesday, October 21

*7:49 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, a male subject stole a 30-pack of beer from the grocery store.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy inspected eight scrapped vehicles at a property on FM 2492 and seven demolisher titles were issued.

Thursday, October 22

*1:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Woodridge regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, after an investigation, it was determined that both parties were aggressors.  The situation was settled by separation, the report states.

*2:07 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding forgery.  According to the report, the complainant believed a co-worker took a check from her purse and cashed it at an unknown J.P. Morgan Chase bank for $100.

*4:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Slayden Street regarding the theft of a iPhone 5S.

*11:50 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a pickup in the 100 block of Early Blvd. regarding a defective license plate light and high mount brake light. According to the report, during a probable cause search, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, 4 separate amounts of marijuana weighing a combined 3.2 grams, and a loaded pistol were located inside the vehicle. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, identified as 24-year-old Oscar Manual Taylor of Early was arrested for possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying weapon.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Matthew Ryan Cagwin of Bastrop on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Joseph Anthony Mendieta of Austin on a warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Timothy Karl Owings of Brownwood on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal for theft of metals.

Friday, October 23

*10:17 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was contacted by a complainant who reported in March, 2014, someone used her personal identifying information to obtain a loan under her name from an internet based loan service.

*12:17 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of W. Commerce regarding a hit and run.

*2:30 PM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a female subject broke into her home approximately two weeks ago, while the complainant was at work.  The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges, the report states.

*2:58 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of 3rd Street regarding the vehicle having two license plates displayed, one on the vehicle and one in the rear window.    This stop led to the arrest of 51-year-old William Ed Tate of Santa Anna for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and prohibited weapons-knuckles.

*3:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Slayden Street regarding the theft of an iPhone.  According to the report, the phone was stolen from an unsecured locker in the locker room at Brownwood High School sometime between 6:30-8:00 a.m.

*5:08 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of a child exposing himself on a school bus.

*8:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Victoria regarding an assault by threat.

*20-year-old Jon Cannon turned himself in on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Early Police arrested 17-year-old Leland Harris of Comanche on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury.

*Early Police arrested 50-year-old Felipe Aguilar Rincon of Early for failure to identify and driving while license invalid.

*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 19-year-old Kelsie Kay Roberts of Glen Cove on warrants related to surety withdrawals for possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Lance Lynn Robertson of May on warrants related to driving while license invalid, violate promise to appear, display expired license plate, no liability insurance, failure to maintain financial responsibility, fictitious registration/inspection, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*Bangs Police arrested 55-year-old Timothy Earl Sessions of Early on a warrant related to theft of services equal or greater than $2500 less than $30,000.

Saturday, October 24

*4:29 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Holcomb Street which led to the arrest of 24-year-old Khayan Broadi Delarosa of Brownwood and 28-year-old Jonathan Wesley Branscum of Bangs. Delarosa was charged with driving while license invalid with previous conviction and Branscum was arrested on two warrants related to possession of a controlled substance and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

*7:45 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding child custody.  According to the report, CPS was contacted and the children were removed from a residence.  An investigation regarding child abuse/neglect is ongoing, the report states.

*8:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 42-year-old Carolyn Roberts of Brady for theft greater than $100 less than $750.  The total amount stolen was $287.62, the report states.

*9:50 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding a robbery.

Sunday, October 25

*2:44 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of N. Greenleaf regarding an assault involving family violence.  According to the report, the incident was settled by separation.

*2:05 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at the Texas 4-H Center, near Lake Brownwood regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the director stated someone had run a vehicle through the front gate sometime during the weekend.

*6:41 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving on US 377 East in the left lane where this is prohibited.   According to the report, during the course of the stop, nervous and suspicious behavior was detected from the driver, identified as 46-year-old William Ray Baker of Bangs and the front passenger, identified as 36-year-old Evlyn Kathryn Kelly of Brownwood.  A consent search was conducted which located a small baggie with methamphetamine residue inside of the truck, the report states.  Baker and Kelly were eventually placed under arrest for possession of substance in penalty group 1 < 1 gram.  Both subjects were released to jail staff.

*10:56 PM – Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Thomas Shifflett of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 49-year-old Phillip Lloyd Lemmons of Bangs on warrant related to a surety withdrawal/burglary of a habitation.  Lemmons was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond as of Monday morning.

Monday, October 26

*1:40 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Milton Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a male subject had been assaulted by a female subject; however, he did not wish to pursue criminal charges and left to stay with family.
