A traffic stop made by a Brown County Sheriff’s investigator Tuesday afternoon led to the discovery of 22 grams of methamphetamine and the arrest of two individuals on drug related charges, according to Brown County Sheriff’s reports.
A BSCO investigator observed 28-year-old Anna Jeanette Coffey driving a vehicle on Beaver Street in Brownwood, and because the investigator knew Coffey did not have an eligible driver’s license, a traffic stop was made which was within 1000 feet of Wiggins Park, the report states. The vehicle was then searched and 22 grams of methamphetamine were found in the console along with 8.7 grams of marijuana which was located under the front passenger seat. Spearman claimed possession of the marijuana, the report states. Both Coffey and Spearman (pictured above) were charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams in a drug free zone.
