Friday, October 19
*3:16pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Songbird Circle regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant advised that her Kindle was stolen.
*7:16pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding an assault that had occurred at approximately 4:30pm. According to the report, the victim advised he was assaulted by three subjects who were identified. The incident is pending further investigation according to the report.
*7:18pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of 10th Street regarding the theft of medication. According to the report, the complainant advised that her daughter stole her medication.
*8:30pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Melwood and W. Baker Street for disregarding a stop sign. According to the report, the vehicle was seen leaving a known narcotics trafficking area when the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as 52-year-old Ruben Garcia Martinez. The deputy obtained consent to search the vehicle and located a large hole in the floorboard of the vehicle next to the front driver’s seat, the report states. When the deputy looked underneath the vehicle, he observed a small clear plastic baggie containing marijuana directly in line with the hole in the floorboard, according to the report. Martinez was placed under arrest for tampering with evidence and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*8:50pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a possible suspect has been identified.
*10:57pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Calvert Drive regarding theft of several items from the residence. According to the report, the suspect is not known.
*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Charlie Vasquez-Delacruz of Cross Plains for driving while intoxicated/open alcoholic beverage container.
Saturday, October 20
*12:07am-A Brownwood Police officer was patrolling in a south Brownwood neighborhood when he observed an adult male pedestrian commit a pedestrian violation. After stopping the pedestrian, the officer received consent to search the pedestrian for narcotics and a small quantity of marijuana was located in the male’s clothing. Jordan Rivera, 17, was within 1000 feet of a drug free zone and was arrested for possession of marijuana within a drug free zone, according to jail records.
*8:28am-Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room in reference to a deceased person. Communications advised the responding officer that the deceased person was an inmate at TDCJ TR Havins Unit and that Warden Robert Stevens was on scene, the report states. According to law enforcement, there were no signs of foul play to the deceased person’s body; however JP Kroft requested an autopsy be conducted due to the death being unexpected.
*8:55am-Brownwood Police responded to the 1900 block of Avenue J regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. According to the report, while the officer was en route, dispatch advised that the vehicle had been found on fire in the county during the previous shift, at approximately 1:00am. The investigation is ongoing.
*11:30am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend stole two flower pots from her front yard.
*12:36pm-Brownwood Police were called to the area of W. Commerce and Main Street regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, the complainant reported that they had been struck by another vehicle which had left the scene.
*12:48pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft of medical supplies in the 2700 block of Elizabeth Drive. According to the report, the suspect is known.
*2:25pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of 1st Street regarding a citizens’ dispute. According to the report, all parties involved wished to pursue charges.
*3:23pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report from a representative of the Church by the Lake that a window had been shot out of the church with a BB gun by an unknown person.
*3:51pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. This call led to the arrest of 59-year-old Michael Wayne Adams for theft greater than $50 less than $500.
*11:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that he believed that a family member who lives at the residence stole a television.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Rogelio Jesus Huerta for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Sunday, October 21
*1:10am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 300 block of E. Baker Street. According to the report, the driver identified as 29-year-old Tina Fagundes was found to be driving while intoxicated and was arrested for DWI.
*2:54am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 Southside Drive regarding an assault that had already taken place. According to the report, the complainant advised that he was assaulted by a male who she did not want inside of his residence. Contact could not be made with the suspect, the report states.
*4:05am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Irma regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that his ex-girlfriend pushed him and slapped him in the face during an argument. No arrests were made at the time of the report.
*1:03pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Hillsboro Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that during the early morning hours, someone entered her unlocked vehicle and took a CD player valued at $300 and a $20 bill. A suspect has been named in the incident.
*2:56pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of 3rd Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her vehicle’s CD player was stolen.
*4:39pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop a sports utility for a traffic offense. According to the report, when the deputy stopped the vehicle, he had the driver identified as 43-year-old William Erby Barnes of Mineral Wells to exit the vehicle and noticed nervous behavior. The deputy asked for consent to search the vehicle because of the suspicious behavior and located a marijuana cigarette inside a cigarette package on the passenger side floorboard, the report states. Barnes was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than or equal to 2 ounces.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 56-year-old Thomas Hyman Bryant for public intoxication.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Edward Alonzo Espinosa for driving while intoxicated.
*A Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission agent arrested 28-year-old Leland Bradley Michael of Early for public intoxication.
Monday, October 22
*12:36pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that during an argument, her husband had grabbed her hand, twisted it and caused her pain.
