Friday, October 17

*5:49 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a resident on Big Hill Drive in reference to several puppies, that were left in a crate by the mailbox, with no food or water provided.  According to the report, the puppies were taken to the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center.   No suspect information was available, the report states.

Saturday, October 18

*1:25 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived at the Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department on Hwy 279 in Brownwood regarding an accident. The deputy spoke with a witness who stated that an employee of his had been hurt fixing a flat on a tractor tire.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received the report of the theft of a cell phone valued at $180.00.  According to the report, the complainant is homeless and was staying in the home of an acquaintance along with other people.  Possible suspects were named, the report states.

Sunday, October 19

*7:49 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault that had occurred in between 1:00 AM 2:00 AM on this date. According to the report, the complainant advised that he and a friend had been to a party at a residence on County Road 292. After the party was over he was assaulted by several unknown males at his vehicle, as he was attempting to leave, the report states.  The complainant’s friend was also assaulted as she attempted to break up the fight, according to the deputy’s report.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Office received the report of a stolen nail gun.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect had pawned the nail gun.  The suspect had been working for the complainant on a house in Blanket.   The complainant furnished his purchase receipt with the brand, model, and serial number to the deputy who after investigation found that the nail gun was last pawned to Wild Bill’s Pawn on October 13, 2014, by the suspect.   No arrest had been made at the time of the report.

Monday, October 20

*3:56 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft.  As a result of this call, two male suspects identified as 18-year-old Brandon Lynn Buffington  and 20-year-old Toby Brandon Presley both of Brownwood were arrested, each charged with Theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500 the report states.

*7:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a dispute.  According to the report both parties stated they were injured by the other party involved.

*Early Police arrested 48-year-old David Earl Buys of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Marcus Laramie Lindsay of Goldthwaite on warrants related to speeding and failure to appear.

*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Corey Keith Shoemaker of Stephenville for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
