Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, October 21, 2013.
Thursday, October 17
*3:10 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the theft of a laptop.
Friday, October 18
*1:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, the suspects were fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Officers were given the suspect vehicle license plate number and were able to locate the suspects. The vehicle’s occupants, identified as 19-year-old Christian Davis of Brownwood and 19-year-old Christopher Jackson of San Angelo were found to have committed theft class B after an investigation was completed, the report states. Davis and Jackson were placed under arrest for theft, equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*4:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, loss prevention employees had detained 19-year-old Jeremy Mayfield and 19-year-old Monica Annette Zuniga, both of Comanche, for theft. After an investigation was conducted, Mayfield and Zuniga were arrested and charged with theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500, the report states.
*6:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Irma Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a 14-year-old female had threatened to do damage to the residence and had damaged two fans.
*6:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue B regarding theft. According to the report, the reporting party advised that they had witnessed a male subject take a UPS package off of a porch. A report documenting the incident was taken. The package was recovered in an alley in that same block where the incident occurred.
*10:24 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a male suspect stole numerous items and ran out of the store without paying for them. Attempts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful at the time of the report.
*10:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Avenue C regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a possible suspect was identified and the incident is pending further investigation.
*11:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that a rock had been thrown through the window of the complainant’s home. Damage to the residence was estimated at approximately $100.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called to County Road 334 regarding a civil dispute which escalated to a physical confrontation. The complainant told officers that 54-year-old Sue Ann Slaughter pointed a gun at her, threatened to shoot her and grabbed and interfered with the call as she spoke to emergency dispatch. After an investigation, Slaughter was arrested for aggravated assault with deadly weapon and interfere with emergency call.
Saturday, October 19
*3:53 AM – A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop for speeding in the 1200 block of Austin Avenue. During the stop, the driver, identified as 21-year-old Brenner Nall of May, was determined to be intoxicated, according to the report. Nall was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated 1st offense. A blood sample was obtained at Brownwood Regional Medical Center before Nall was transported to the Brown County Jail.
*11:02 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of 8th Street regarding a missing person. The juvenile was located at a different residence and 19-year-old Hanner Edgar of Brownwood was arrested for sexual assault.
*12:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of Avenue B regarding theft of medication. A possible suspect was named.
*2:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the intersection of Belmeade and Slayden regarding a hit and run accident. The victim said that a maroon passenger car was seen fleeing the scene. A juvenile suspect was identified and arrested.
*7:17 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of a missing bicycle in the 400 block of W. Adams. While conducting an interview related to the investigation, police arrested 35-year-old Jason Jenkins for public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a property on County Road 151 animal cruelty. The deputy arrived to find 6 horses that appeared to be malnourished. They are attempting to contact an owner.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Stephanie Lee Baker for manufacture/deliver of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Billy Gene Christensen, Sr. for public intoxication.
*Texas DPS arrested 50-year-old Shelley Ann Kelley of Comanche for public intoxication.
*Texas DPS arrested 46-year-old Shelley Rollins of Comanche for public intoxication.
*Texas DPS arrested 44-year-old Fred Harlan Sanders, Jr. for public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Jimmy Glen Walls of Bangs for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Sunday, October 20
*7:36 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Austin Avenue regarding the violation of a protective order. A suspect was named and an active report filed to document the incident, the report states.
*10:56 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to County Road 147 regarding found drug paraphernalia. The complainant told the officer that a hunter who leases the property found a glass pipe. The pipe was seized and no other contraband was located.
*7:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Main Street regarding a possible disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of Gary Tilley for public intoxication. According to the report, Tilley had come to the apartment of another male to confront him about a problem and had asked the male to come out of the apartment to fight. He would not leave the apartment after being asked to do so several times, the report states. Tilley was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested for public intoxication, the report states.
*11:01 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of North Main Street, Kroger, regarding theft. According to the report, a Kroger employee observed two females enter the store, put three items into a large purse that one of the females was carrying and then leave the store without paying for the items.
*11:50 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of 16th regarding burglary. Communications indicated that a female reported that her residence had been burglarized.
*12:54 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of San Benito regarding an assault.
*1:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 17th Street regarding a burglary of a residence. The victim reported that several electronic items were stolen.
*3:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Shelton Street and Virgil Gray Drive regarding theft. The victim reported that several gallons of diesel fuel was stolen out of the fuel tanks of his semi truck
*5:14 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of a theft in the 2000 block of Coggin Avenue. The complainant said that her 2-year-old bulldog and her 8-month-old German Shepherd were stolen from her back yard on October 14th.
*7:15 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 700 block of Commerce for failing to stop at a stop sign. After the deputy observed the driver acting nervous, he asked for consent to search the vehicle which was denied, the report states. A K-9 unit was dispatched and made a positive alert on the vehicle, according to the report. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, 19.5 grams of hydrocodone, 8 yellow and 38 white pills were found. The driver, 49-year-old Vincente Arellano, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
*Early Police arrested 63-year-old Robert Danner of May for public intoxication.
Monday, October 21
*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old Gary Dwayne Tilley of Midland for public intoxication.
