Early Police responded to a disturbance at a business in the 400 block of Early Blvd. on Saturday, October 18th. According to Early Chief of Police David Mercer, around 9:00 a.m., a caller reported that the business manager had been attacked by a customer who had thrown acid on the manager’s face. Early Volunteer Fire Department and EMS also responded to the scene.
Officers were given a description of a suspect vehicle occupied by two white males, which was later located and stopped in the 100 block of Turtle Creek Drive, the report states.
Officers interviewed the occupants who denied throwing acid on anyone; however they did admit to having a verbal confrontation with the manager of the business over a car purchase, according to Mercer’s report. Officers located a jug of muriatic acid that was half full in the back floor of the vehicle stated Mercer. According to the report, the men did admit to threatening to throw the acid but stated they did not. Officers met with the victim, observed signs of acid on the ground as well as the injuries the victim received and spoke with two witnesses at the business who observed the suspect throw the acid, Mercer reported.
The suspect 32-year-old Steven Michael Pringle of Blanket was placed under arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon the report states.

Friday, October 17
*6:12 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, no arrests were made; however, an investigation is pending.
*10:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue H regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, $98 cash was stolen from the vehicle. No arrests were made at the time of the report; however, the investigation is pending.
*3:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Cleburne Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant reported that an unknown suspect took items from inside the house including prescription medication.
*4:06 PM –Brownwood police responded to the 900 block of Trigg Street regarding harassment.
*6:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on LaMonte Drive regarding a missing person. According to the report, the complainant reported his wife missing and they had an argument. She was reported as a missing person due to her being suicidal, according to the report.
*6:25 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Hillsboro Street. According to the report, during the stop, officers located a prohibited weapon in the driver’s possession. 33-year-old Brandi Kite of Brownwood was arrested for the offense of prohibited weapon, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 37-year-old Richard Heath Mayes, 37-year-old Cindy Lou Mayes, and 37-year-old Michael Chad Hatchett of Zephyr after a domestic disturbance in Zephyr Friday night according to BCSO officials. Richard and Cindy Mayes were each charged with injury to a child with intent to injure and injury to an elderly individual with intent to injure. Richard Mayes was additionally charged with resisting arrest, search or transport. Hatchett was charged with interference with public duties and resisting arrest, search or transport.
*10:10 PM – Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Jason Lynn Sliger of Brownwood at his residence in the 4400 block of Redbird Street regarding an outstanding warrant. While conducting a search of Sliger, incident to his arrest and for officer safety prior to his transport to the jail, he was found to be in possession of marijuana and additionally charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*49-year-old Gary Dwon Brown of Brownwood turned himself in on warrants related to driving while license invalid and violate promise to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Johnathan Chavez of Irving on Grand Prairie Police Department warrants related to child support enforcement, ran red light and driving while license invalid.
Saturday, October 18
*2:25 AM – Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Clark Street for a city ordinance violation. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Gerardo Ibarra, was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated, the report states. Ibarra released on $20,000 bond.
*6:32 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Riverside Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle. Some of the items stolen included a military bag, military uniforms, military head gear and wet weather gear along with a military sleeping bag, a bulletproof vest, a laptop, a credit card, and an iPad.
*9:41 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue D regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, a self-propelled lawn mower (valued at $240) was stolen from the property.
*11:54 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy observed vehicle in which a passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, the deputy also noticed that the vehicle had a defective brake light. A stop was made in the area of Avenue H and 4th Street near Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Christian Life Center, the report states. During the stop the driver, identified as 24-year-old Monty Stevenson Wiley of Early admitted that he had marijuana on his person and surrendered a bag of marijuana, according to the report. During a probable cause search of the vehicle after Wiley was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, an assisting BSCO deputy asked the passenger 26-year-old Alan Leroy Everett of Brownwood to take his shoes off and located and seized a scale and small bag containing a small baggie of about 0.8 grams of methamphetamine without packaging, the report states. Another small zipper bag contained a plastic bag with five small baggies containing small amounts of methamphetamine residue, the report states. The zipper bag was found between the license plate and the trailer hitch of the vehicle which appeared as if Everett had attempted to hide while deputies searched the vehicle, according to the report. Everett was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
*3:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 9th Street regarding disorderly conduct.
*4:19 PM – Brownwood Police responded to Walmart regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a cooler was stolen from the vehicle.
*6:44 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, an employee reported a male subject had stolen some items and fled the store. The business wished to pursue charges if the subject could be located.
*7:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of 4th Street regarding an accident involving a vehicle that had struck a parked car. According to the report, the driver was located and found to be intoxicated. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Jeron Tyrell Roberson of Brownwood, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
*11:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding an assault. According to the report, a male and female were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into an assault. The female, identified as 32-year-old Guadalupe Elizabeth Galvan was arrested for the offense of assault with injury family violence.
*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Jameia Amber Deshields of Brownwood on a warrant related to fail to attend school.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 27-year-old Rodney Shane Howard of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, prohibited weapon knuckles, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sunday, October 19
*2:53 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1700 block of 8th Street. During the stop, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Franshesca Vianie Borrego of Brownwood was arrested for driving while intoxicated with an open container.
*12:58 PM – Brownwood Police responded to Walmart regarding trespassing. According to the report, as a result of the call, one male, one female and a juvenile were arrested for trespassing.
*2:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding a suspicious person. According to the report, one suspect was issued a citation for class C theft and two other subjects were issued criminal trespass warnings for the property.
*3:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft of a cell phone. According to the report, a suspect has been identified.
*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Juan Campos of Brownwood for criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*26-year-old Raymond Guerrero Jr. of Coleman turned himself in on a Coleman County warrant related to motion to adjudicate/burglary of a habitation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Marcus Laramie Lindsay of Goldthwaite on warrants related to speeding, failure to appear and resist arrest search or transport.
