Monday, October 18
*12:31pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a burglary of a habitation in the 600 block of Ash Street. The investigation is ongoing.
*1:57pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Main Blvd. regarding a found bicycle. The bicycle was placed into the BPD impound.
*7:45pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Good Shepherd regarding a stolen vehicle. According to the police, a black Chevrolet 4 door 4×4 pick-up truck was last seen by its owners Sunday night before they found it had been stolen the next morning. The owners stated that the vehicle was parked in front of the residence along the street. Police reports state that the keys had apparently been left in the vehicle. No suspect information could be found and no arrest had been made as of the time of the report.
*10:31pm-A Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to a local motel regarding disorderly conduct. The officer spoke with the complainant who stated he was sitting in his motel room when he saw his bathroom was on fire the report states. He grabbed the curtain and threw it into the shower. The complainant stated that he had an argument with his girlfriend and several other people earlier in the evening. It is unknown who is responsible for the minor damage to the motel room.
Tuesday, October 19
*7:38am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Crocket Drive, Brownwood Regional Medical Center, regarding a disorderly subject. Further investigation led to the arrest of 51-year-old Debbie Moore McDaniel for Public Intoxication.
*12:15am-A Brownwood Police officer made contact with several people in the 1700 block of 4th Street. After speaking to the occupants of the residence, it was determined that two men had received lacerations during an altercation with another person that had fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival according to the report. Neither of the men wished to pursue charges.
*Brownwood Police were called to the 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding counterfeit currency. The counterfeit currency was collected and an investigation is ongoing.
*Brownwood Police arrested 39-year-old Steven Hobbs for Driving While License Invalid/Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Heather Nicole Medina for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old Brandon David Smith for Driving While Intoxicated.
Wednesday, October 20
*Early Police arrested 35-year-old Alton Stafford for Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 oz, in a Drug Free Zone.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
