Wednesday, October 16
*7:57 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, Brookeshire’s grocery store, regarding theft. According to the report, a male subject was issued a citation for theft less than $50 and a criminal trespass warning.
*11:52 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Southside Drive regarding identification theft. According to the report, an unknown person had applied for a loan with the complainant’s information.
*4:30 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft. According to the report, the victim’s wallet, valued at approximately $20 was stolen.
*7:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding suspicious activity. According to the report, a male subject had attempted to steal a pair of men’s jeans and was inside the store. The male was identified and issued a citation for theft less than $50.Thursday, October 17
*10:31 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Belle Plain where they met with a complainant who stated that his son’s bicycle, valued at $120.00, was stolen from the 3700 block of Golding Road.
*5:05 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on County Road 233 regarding the theft of copper less than $20,000. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*6:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the incident occurred at Wal-Mart earlier in the afternoon and an Apple iPad2 was stolen from the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*9:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of 8th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the calling party stated that his girlfriend had become angry with him after she became intoxicated and then assaulted him. The calling party had injuries consistent with his version of the incident and after an investigation; 29-year-old Savanna Nicole Burkhart was placed under arrest for assault with injury family violence.
*10:09 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a property on Sea Breeze Drive in May regarding theft. According to the report, the calling party had hired a male subject to do renovation work on his property. The subject, while performing the work, allegedly took several items from the property without the calling party’s consent, including jewelry and a knife, the report states.
*Bangs Police arrested 41-year-old Misty Dawn Pierce Berryhill of Bangs on Bangs Municipal warrants related to failure to appear/bail jumping and expired motor vehicle insurance.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 32-year-old Thomas Dwayne Brummett of Brookesmith on a warrant for public intoxication.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 19-year-old Adam Raymond Castillo on a warrant related to accident involving damage to vehicle equal or less than $200.
*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Chad Everett Cooper on a warrant.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Chason Franklin on warrants related to motion to revoke/assault causes bodily injuries and motion to revoke/interfere with public duties.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Sean Quinton Lemuel of Austin on a warrant for criminal nonsupport.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Robert Calbert Walker on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/engage in organized criminal activity.
Friday, October 18
*12:10 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of E. Commerce in reference to a large crowd of people fighting. Officers arrived at the location and found there had been an altercation between 32-year-old Arnulfo Rodrigo Hernandez, Jr. of Luling and another male. No charges were pursued by the parties for assault; however, Hernandez was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
*3:32 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 1st Street regarding the burglary of a habitation and theft of a firearm. According to the report, someone entered her residence while she was at work and stole numerous items, including a firearm.
*Bangs Police arrested 34-year-old Kathryn Lealyn Hartzell of Bangs for possession of a dangerous drug.
