Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, October 18, 2011.

Monday, October 17

* 9:00am-According to police, a complainant came to the Brownwood Police Department to report an assault that occurred over the weekend at a residence in north Brownwood.  Police state the woman was upset, appeared fearful of her situation and had visible injuries.  The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Robert Rios who was already on probation for domestic violence; therefore the officer investigating the case sought a warrant for the suspect’s arrest according to police.  Rios was charged with Assault Family Violence Enhanced.

At 7:50pm, the complainant returned to the Police Department to report that she was receiving unwanted harassing calls from Rios, the report states.  These calls were coming from the Brown County Jail where Rios is currently incarcerated.  Jail staff was informed of the situation and was able to put a stop to further harassing phone calls.  Rios was held on a $50,000 bond as of Tuesday morning.

*12:45-Brownwood Police were called to 2001 Slayden regarding a burglary of a vehicle.  The complainant stated that someone broke into her vehicle between the hours of midnight and 12:45pm on October 17th.

*Brownwood Police Department arrested 51-year-old Sheila Ann McDonald for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Leslie Don Drew of Early on warrants for Fail to Report as Sex Offender and Motion to Adjudicate Aggravated Sexual Assault Child.  Drew was being  held on $125,000 bonds as of Tuesday morning.

Tuesday, October 18

*4:30am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Brewster Street regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the victim vehicle sustained damage to the rear bumper and tailgate area.  The suspect vehicle was described as a newer green extended cab pick-up, the report states.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
