Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday and Tuesday, October 14-15
Tuesday, October 8
*9:48 AM – A Brown County deputy was dispatched to CR 270 in reference to a calf being on a property where it did not belong. The calf was transported to the Law Enforcement Center livestock holding area the next day.
*11:11 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Booker Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that some neighbors had property belonging to the complainant and refused to return it. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*2:50 PM – A Brown County deputy was called to a property on County Road 477 in reference to a subject who had been fired for intoxication and was at the end of the complainant’s driveway. The subject was identified and advised of criminal trespass, the report states. The subject received a ride to town from a private citizen.
*11:16 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Carriage Lane regarding theft of property. According to the report, the complainant stated that a subject entered her property and stole her security cameras. The complainant named a possible suspect and wished to pursue charges for the theft, the report states.*11:25 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s investigator arrested 27-year-old Ashley Shay Harvey for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) during a traffic stop in the 1200 block of W. Commerce for driving extremely slow. According to the report, during the stop, Harvey gave the investigator consent to search her vehicle and 2 broken glass pipes w/methamphetamine residue were located. One of the pipes field tested positive for methamphetamine, the report states. Harvey was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*A Brown County deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of E Hall St. for a valid traffic offense. According to the report, during the course of the stop, the officer observed (in plain view) inside the vehicle, a clear plastic baggie containing several unidentified green pills with the letter F imprinted on them. Due to the suspicious nature of the way the pills were packaged, the pills were seized and will be sent to DPS Crime Laboratory to be identified, the report states.
*A Brown County deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 67 at FM 1849. According to the report, during the course of the stop, consent was given by the driver to search the vehicle. During this search, an unknown substance was found inside the drivers backpack which was amber colored, sticky to the touch, and had the strong odor of marijuana, the report states. The substance was seized and later tested for the presence of marijuana, and determined to be hashish oil. The driver, identified as Charles Wayne Dickey III was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance penalty group 2 equal to or greater than 1g less than 4grams.
Wednesday, October 9
*4:30 PM – A Brown County deputy met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the theft of a wallet. According to the report, the wallet had been stolen out of the complainant’s vehicle while parked in her driveway on Roanoke. The incident is under investigation.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched a residence at Spring Lake West for a report of an unwanted person. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had hired a male subject to work for him as an electrician’s helper. The complainant allowed the subject to stay at the residence while he was working for him. He advised the subject had worked for him for approximately 3 days and then began acting “weird” and was not performing the required work load so the complainant fired the subject and wanted him to leave his residence. The complainant wished to have a criminal trespass warning issued to the subject for his property, which the deputy issued after locating the subject.
Friday, October 11
*10:02 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding a hit and run. According to the report, 21-year-old Malissa Karnes was identified and charged.
*1:23 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 7th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant had left for work at approximately 8:00 a.m. and returned home at approximately 1:00 p.m. to find that an unknown suspect had entered her residence and stolen several electronic devices. An investigation is ongoing according to police.
*1:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Calvert Drive, Brownwood Middle School, regarding a student believed to have drugs on their person, possibly marijuana. Police assistance was requested and an investigation determined that the female student was in possession of a substance believed to be marijuana. She was taken into custody, transported to the police department where she was processed and released to her father at the request of the Juvenile Probation officer.
*5:42 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective brake light. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 28-year-old Megan Elizabeth Hicks of Azle, and the passenger, identified as 34-year-old Joshua James Johnson of Azle, for fraudulent use / possession of identifying information less than 50 items(1st Degree Felony), and possession of marijuana <2oz (Class B Misdemeanor). Hicks was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1gram (State Jail Felony). Johnson was also arrest for a warrant out of Texas Pardon and Parole.
*5:43 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 4th Street regarding trespassing. According to the report, the complainant stated that two subjects were at his residence causing a disturbance and he wished to have a criminal trespass warning issued to each of them.
*7:53 PM- Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of 16th Street regarding found narcotics. According to the report, an amount of narcotics had been located in the complainant’s child’s room. The narcotics were secured in the evidence room at Brownwood Police Department.
*9:57 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Avenue D regarding theft. According to the report, the theft was reported while officers were investigating an unrelated call for service. One of the involved subjects requested to make a report of a stolen wallet from her residence and named a possible suspect, the report states.
*28-year-old Jeremy Robert Alcorn of Coleman turned himself in on a warrant for motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana in a drug free zone.
*46-year-old Christopher Eaton of Comanche turned himself in on a Comanche County warrant related to criminal trespass.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Robert Wayne Forbess on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Reynaldo Carrillo Ramos of San Angelo on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/sell distribute/harmful material to minor.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Sherrod Lawrence Smith of Coleman on a warrant related to motion to revoke/aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
*Brownwood Police arrested 38-year-old Gidget Diane Lawson Stewart on a warrant related to failure to appear/driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Tiffany Ann Thomson on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams.
Saturday, October 12
*8:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of N. Center regarding a hit and run. According to the report, an employee at Hastings stated that an unknown suspect backed up into her vehicle and fled the scene without attempting to leave any of the required information.
*11:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 Carnegie Street regarding harassment via phone call.
*11:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 14th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between 11:00-11:45 p.m., an unknown suspect made entry into the residence and stole $200 cash. A white male without a shirt was seen leaving the residence, reported the complainant. The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges if a suspect can be identified, the report states.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 29-year-old Andrew Lee Heath of Goldthwaite on warrants related to display expired license plate (Brown County), violate promise to appear (Brown County) and failure to appear/theft by check (Comanche County).
*Brownwood Police arrested 55-year-old Johnny Espinoza Saucedo on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Sunday, October 13
*2:56 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 1st Street regarding a citizens’ dispute. According to the report, upon officer’s arrival, a female subject was found to be injured and bleeding from the face following an altercation. After an investigation, a report was filed for assault causes severe bodily injury and assault causes bodily injury.
*11:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, store employees stated that they had observed 17-year-old Alyssa Yvette Escobar of Comanche concealing merchandise in her purse and then attempt to leave the store without paying. Escobar was arrested for theft greater than $50 less than $500.
*8:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of N. Main Blvd. regarding terroristic threats. According to the report, the victim had been threatened by a 14-year-old juvenile, who he had helped raise. The officer determined that the phone calls did not meet the criteria for terroristic threats but that assault by threat had indeed occurred.
*8:49 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Maple Street regarding a stolen bicycle. According to the report, the blue Mongoose bicycle, valued at $80, was stolen between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The complainant wished to pursue charges if a suspect can be identified, the report states.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife officer arrested 34-year-old Jacob Jason Ramos on warrants related to no seat belt, failure to maintain financial responsibility 2nd offense, driving while license invalid, and violate promise to appear.
Monday, October 14
*10:14 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding theft. According to the report, a complainant stated that someone had removed her new Samsun Galaxy 3 cell phone, valued at $800, from her bag which was at her desk in the office area in the second floor, east wing of Brownwood Regional Medical Center. The office area is not open to the public and the complainant stated that she had checked her work area and with coworkers repeatedly to make sure it had not fallen out, been misplaced or borrowed, the report states. The cellular provider could not locate the phone by GPS, according to police.
*12:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, the loss prevention officer advised that a male subject had stolen property from the store. A citation for theft less than $50 was issued to the subject.
*4:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, the loss prevention employee had detained a female subject for shoplifting. The female was issued a citation for theft under $50.
*5:42 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding criminal mischief to a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle was damaged by an unknown substance which damaged the paint on the bumper in three to four small areas.
*6:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, a loss prevention employee had detained 20-year-old Jessi Galindo for theft. Galindo was arrested and charged with theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*A Brown County deputy was dispatched to the 13000 block of CR 478 in Brown County, near May regarding a report of criminal mischief. According to the report, the deputy arrived on scene and contacted a representative from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department who advised an unknown person or persons damaged the gate to the property causing approximately $200 worth of damage.
*37-year-old Julie Lynn Derrick Gilger of San Saba turned herself in on a warrant for her arrest related to an indictment.
* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Jessica Lynn Walston Goodwin on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Jacklyn Sue Pace of Abilene on warrants related to unauthorized use of vehicle and credit card or debit card abuse.
