Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, October 15, 2010.
Wednesday, October 13
*10:20am-A Brownwood Police officer, while working at Brownwood High School, was approached by a reporting party regarding what was believed to be contraband found at 10am that day at Brownwood Intermediate School. According to the police report, a BISD maintenance worker, while working in the 300 hall boys’ bathroom, had discovered a small plastic baggie hidden behind one of the toilets. The baggie was tagged and placed into evidence at BPD.
*9:35pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Borden in reference to stolen property. No evidence or suspect information could be obtained. The investigation is ongoing.
Thursday, October 14
*Early Chief of Police David Mercer reported that Officer John Mills responded to the 100 block of Kings Court regarding a female sitting in a vehicle screaming and cursing. When Officer Mills arrived he met with the owner of the vehicle he stated the female was his girlfriend, they had an argument, and she was mad and refused to get out of his pickup.
Officer Mills attempted to quiet the female who continued to scream and curse the report states. A Brownwood Police Department Officer also arrived on scene and the female, identified as 28-year-old Kama Larissa Potter of Early, was taken out of the vehicle and placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.
*Early Police Chief David Mercer reported that Sgt. Shawn Dibrell and Officer Johnny Brown conducted a follow-up investigation at a mobile home park in the 600 block of Early Blvd after receiving information regarding a female individual selling and using drugs.
According to the report, officers made contact with the resident, identified as 28-year-old April Lamb of Early, and developed probable cause to search the trailer. Officers located drug paraphernalia and heavy amounts of Methamphetamine residue in the trailer the report states. Lamb was placed under arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance, Penalty Grade 1, less than 1g in a Drug Free Zone.
*7:11am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Brady Avenue regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated that his home had been robbed while he was sleeping. Missing were prescriptions bottles full of Gabapentin and Tramadol along with a Crate sunburst guitar the report states. The complainant noted that a firearm that was in full view had not been taken. No suspect had been found and no arrest made as of the time of the report.
*3:40pm-Brownwood Police were called to an accident at the intersection of 3rd Street and Avenue B. While investigating, police found that the “at fault” driver had warrants and a suspended driver’s license the report states. The driver, identified as 38-year-old Victor Josue Salazar, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid and for the two outstanding warrants.
Friday, October 15
*12:20am-A Brownwood Police officer observed a white SUV failing to maintain a single lane, weaving from side to side in the inside lane of traffic in the 500 block of E. Commerce. According to the report a traffic stop was initiated and standard field sobriety tests were performed on the driver, identified as 31-year-old Maria Conspicion Gamez, who was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
