Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, October 13, 2011.

October 9

*10:35pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of 4th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a male subject stole two 30-packs of beer from store and left without paying for them.  The complainant provided a description of the suspect along with store video as evidence.

October 12
*12:46pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Elizabeth regarding found property.  According to the report, the homeowner found a bicycle in his front yard.  When none of his neighbors claimed it, he reported it to the police.  The bicycle was taken to the Brownwood Police Department’s impound for safe keeping until the owner can properly identify and claim it.

*4:32pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the1400 block of Austin Avenue for expired motor vehicle insurance.  This stop led to the driver being issued citations for expired motor vehicle insurance and for possession of drug paraphernalia after a marijuana pipe was found in the vehicle, the report states.  The driver was released at the scene.

October 13

*1:22am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of CC Woodson Road.  Upon investigation, the driver was determined to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest.  Because the driver was seriously injured from a previous incident, he was transported to the ER for evaluation.  The driver refused a blood sample; however, a warrant was signed by Judge Griffin and the sample was obtained.   Due to the serious injuries the driver sustained, he was kept at the hospital for treatment.  He was released by the officer pending filing of charges.

*3:23am-A Brownwood Police officer received a bottle of RUSH Liquid Incense from a nurse at Brownwood Regional Medical Center ER.  Nurse stated that it had been left by a patient, the report states.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
