Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, October 13, 2010.
Monday, October 11
*9:23pm-A Brownwood Police officer responded to the 1200 block of 3rd Street where a subject was reported to be banging on the windows of the complainant’s house. When the officer arrived, the subject was gone and damage was found on a vehicle in the carport. Suspect information was provided and charges have been filed.
Tuesday, October 12
*10:38am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to theft. Police reports state that the officer arrived and spoke to the reporting party who had noted a woman opening store merchandise and putting it into a baby bag that she was carrying. The female, later identified as 19-year-old Mylia Elizabeth Shipman, was detained in the loss prevention office and spoke with the officer who arrested her after she admitted stealing the merchandise reports state. Cunningham was charged with theft greater than $50, less than $500. A statement was taken from Wal-Mart’s loss prevention officer.
*12:33pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a burglary of a building. The complainant stated that their storage unit in the 2700 block of Brady Avenue was broken into and several items were stolen. The incident was thought to have occurred sometime over the past two weeks.
*12:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart where they spoke with the loss prevention officer regarding an incident of shoplifting which had occurred. Two suspects identified as 21-year-old Jamey Lee Cunningham and 24-year-old Trynda Devan Ray were arrested and several items were recovered.
*3:22pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a stolen bicycle. The complainant stated that the bicycle had been stolen overnight from the bed of the complainant’s truck which was parked in the apartment complex parking lot. There are no suspects; however the complainant does wish to pursue charges should a suspect be found.
*5:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Calvert Road regarding a burglary of a habitation and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. When the officer arrived, he spoke with the complainant who stated that two laptop computers, a safe which contained $2000 in cash and various documents, a cell phone and a 2009 Toyota Rav-4 SUV were taken from the residence. $2000 in cash was also taken from a backpack that was in a bedroom. A suspect was identified; however no arrest had been made at the time of the report. The vehicle was logged into the database as a stolen vehicle.
*11:04pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 7th Street in reference to an assault. Upon investigation, it was determined that the complainant had made a false police report. A report was made and the incident is under investigation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 45-year-old Keith Wayne Carrell for DWI 3rd and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 27-year-old James Anthony Cash for Possession of Marijuana and Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.
Wednesday, October 13
*Bangs Police arrested 27-year-old Brandon Jamall Payne of Brownwood for Assault Family Violence Strangulation, Unlawful Restraint, and Interfere with 911call.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
