Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday and Tuesday, October 10-11, 2011.

Friday, October 7

*12:08am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Good Shepherd regarding a suspicious vehicle.  A male was located in the area and listed as a suspect in the stalking of his ex-girlfriend, the report states.

*1:20am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 46-year-old Troy Samuel Crawford, was determined to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.  According to police, Crawford was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a blood specimen which he refused.  A warrant was signed ordering the collection of a sample of the driver’s blood as evidence, which was obtained according to the report.

*9:32am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Belle Plain in reference to a “scam.”  According to the report, the complainant advised that a male subject had called him about a payday loan.  The suspect told the complainant “if he would pay the $500, he would take care of the legal action,” the report states.

*12:11pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block regarding a missing gun.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his father, whose health is failing, has a revolver that is missing.  At the time of the report, the complainant stated that he has no reason to believe that the gun was stolen at this time, but he wanted to make sure the police were aware of the missing weapon.

*9:37pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 800 block of Booker.  Investigation determined the driver, 46-year-old Bernardo Reyna, to be intoxicated.  Reyna was arrested and it was found that Reyna had 2 prior DWI convictions, therefore, he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.  Reyna submitted to a voluntary blood specimen at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

*10:10pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center who wished to report a possible case of Injury to the Elderly as well as exploitation in the 700 block of Coggin Avenue.  The victim was the complainant’s uncle, the report states.  The suspect is known and further investigation is pending.

*11:32pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Avenue I which resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old Juan David Capuchin for multiple Brownwood Municipal warrants and Failure to Identify-Fugitive.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Robin Barnett for Assault Family Violence by Intimidation.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 50-year-old Dennis Dwayne Bradley for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1g.

Saturday, October 8

*6:58-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Commerce, to a convenience store, regarding suspicious circumstances.  According to the report, communications advised the officer that a male driver of a pickup truck and had struck a barrier at the store.  The male was reported to be passed out in the truck with the door open, the report states.  After an investigation, 31-year-old Don Warren Carmack, Jr. of Bangs was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More (a felony) as well as for an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

*12:07am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 2nd Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim stated that his fiancée hit him in the mouth with a fan.  An arrest was not made at the time of the report; however a warrant is being sought for the suspect, the report states.

*9:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding shoplifting.  According to the report, the asset protection employee stated that a male juvenile who had stolen several items was being detained.  The juvenile was arrested for Theft and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Gage Aulstin Rose of Rochelle for Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Display Driver’s License.

Sunday, October 9

*8:24am-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, the complainant stated that when he returned from shopping inside the store, he discovered his vehicle was damaged.  The incident occurred between the hours of 6:00am and 7:50am on October 9th, the report states.

*12:58am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue which resulted in the arrest of 33-year-old Nathaniel Lamonte Webb for multiple warrants and Driving While License Invalid.

*5:08pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding shoplifting.  According to the report, the asset protection employee stated that he had a male juvenile detained who was caught shoplifting.  The juvenile was arrested for Theft and Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.

*6:36pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a female who was talking to herself and knocking on car windows.  Officers made contact with the woman and determined that she should be evaluated both medically and by MHMR.  The woman was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center’s emergency room for the evaluations.

*7:56pm- Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of 11th Street regarding an assault.  Upon investigation, it was determined that the complainant’s girlfriend had assaulted him.  According to the report, the complainant had minor injuries and refused medical treatment and was unsure about filing any charges.  The suspect was not on scene upon officer’s arrival.

*8:35pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Avenue J.  As a result of the stop, the driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, the report states.

*10:29pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Vine Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person had stolen a toy Yorkie puppy from inside the residence.

*11:45pm-Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft in the 3800 block of 4th Street, a local convenience store.  According to the report, an unknown male stole two 30-packs of beer from the store and left without paying for them.  The complainant provided a description of the suspect and the store surveillance video will be reviewed.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Donnis Taylor Poole for Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz.

Monday, October 10

*12:33am-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center.  According to the report, the woman stated that her husband had assaulted her and she wished to pursue charges.

*8:00am-A Brownwood Police officer was reviewing the video on his patrol unit’s backseat in-car system which led to the recovery of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and four 20mg Adderall capsules.

*11:30am-Brownwood Police received a report of a hit and run which occurred at 401 W. Commerce on October 5th while the complainant’s vehicle was parked and unoccupied.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.  Damages are estimated to be $800.

*6:15pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her “ex” had bit her on the left hand and slapped her across the face after arguing about her relationship with a new boyfriend.  The incident took place in the parking lot of Southside Village Apartment complex, the report states.

*7:06pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2400 block of Avenue C, Thomason Park, regarding criminal mischief.  A caller advised that a male subject was riding a 4-wheeler in the park.  The officer arrived to find a teenage male subject riding a 4-wheeler in circles inside the park.  The teen was identified and the parks department contacted.  The damage will be checked to determine the extent of the damages and if charges will be pursued.

*8:16pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2900 block of Cottage Street regarding the theft of a gun.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his .22 caliber revolver was stolen during the last several months.  The gun was entered as stolen.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 62-year-old Thomas Lloyd Levisay for Injury to a Child or the Elderly.

Tuesday, October 11

*11:55am-Brownwood Police met with a woman at the Law Enforcement Center.  According to the report, the woman wanted to report her friend as a missing person because she had not seen or heard from him in two and a half months and did not know where he was.  A missing person report was made and the man was entered into the database as a missing person.

*Bangs Police Department arrested Paula Yvonne Scott of May for Assault Family Violence with Injury with Prior Convictions and Injury to a Child/Bodily Injury.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
