*8:04 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 17th Street regarding theft. According to the report, a male subject reported that his Yeti cooler had been stolen from in front of his garage.
Tuesday, September 30
*8:17 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street regarding the burglary of a building.
*10:05 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of identity theft. According to the report, an elderly victim was involved and suspects have been named. The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.
*10:49 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding disorderly conduct.
*12:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3600 block of Austin Avenue regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the renter of a storage building reported a small stereo, wicker bird cage, book shelf and an entertainment center were stolen.
*1:29 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a habitation. The incident is pending further investigation according to police.*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on Austin Avenue, near HPU’s Douglas McArthur Academy of Freedom. According to the report, the occupants of the vehicle, identified as 26-year-old Freddie Rodriguez of Brady and 32-year-old Christopher Allen Smith of Santa Anna were noted to be extremely nervous. After investigators and the K-9 officer were called to the scene, an alert was made on the vehicle and a subsequent search of the vehicle was made, according to BCSO Captain Tony Aaron. Methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle as well as a safe which contained additional methamphetamine with packaging and items indicative of narcotics distribution and some marijuana residue, according to Aaron. Smith and Rodriguez were arrested for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
*1:55 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd., La Quinta, regarding the burglary of three coin operated machines.
*2:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue A regarding identity theft which occurred sometime between 2009 and 2010. There are no known suspects, the report states.
*3:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding theft. According to the report, a male complainant stated that he saw an unknown male subject steal a wheelbarrow.
*4:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue B regarding an unwanted person. At the request of the property owner, the subject was issued a criminal trespass warning and left the property without incident, according to the report.
*6:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a suspect was identified.
*7:11 PM – Brownwood Police met with a woman at the law enforcement center who wished to turn herself in for possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the report, the woman, identified as 24-year-old Jessica Lynn Gowin of Brownwood, appeared extremely intoxicated. She turned over a glass meth smoking pipe to police which contained trace amounts of methamphetamine, the report states. She was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room where she refused treatment and then left the building, according to the report. Gowin was located in the parking lot where she was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Jonathon Michael Chiles of Fort Worth on a warrant related to motion to revoke possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Early Police arrested 18-year-old James Aaron Scarborough of Brownwood on a warrant related to disorderly conduct/fighting.
*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Brandi Marie Spivey of Mullin on motion to adjudicate/burglary of a building.
Wednesday, October 1
*1:24 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 200 block of E. Lee Street. During the stop, the officer discovered a small quantity of methamphetamine. The male, identified as 20-year-old Stetson Lee Wayne Walls of Brownwood, was arrested for the offense of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Texas Department of Public arrested 46-year-old Robert James Hallock of Pearland, Texas on a warrant related to unauthorized employment.
* Texas Department of Public arrested 32-year-old Justin Dale Mason of Bangs for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
