Laura Brown McWhirter Perez, age 52, of Brownwood passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, at her residence.
Private Family Services for Laura will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Laura was born to Rolland and Roxie (Woodrum) Bulter on March 12, 1966, in Waxahachie, Texas; but was later adopted and raised by Wayne Brown and her mother Roxie. She went to Eastland ISD. Laura was a longtime resident of Brownwood.
She was an avid animal lover. She was a web page designer, which she enjoyed doing. Most of all Laura loved her family and was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother; whom will be deeply missed by her family.
Laura is survived by her husband, Michael Perez of Brownwood; mother, Roxie Brown of Brownwood; 1 son, Joseph McWhirter and wife Erika of Augusta, GA; 3 daughters, Sarah Cumba and husband Jarritt of Bangs, Elizabeth McWhirter and fiancé Michael Behlen of Merkel, and Alexandrea Perez of Brownwood; 4 grandchildren, Grace, Rebekah, Joseph Jr., and Sophia; her first husband, Michael McWhirter; step-brother, Larry Brown and wife Susan of Plano; step-sister, Beverly Gray and husband Michael of Tulsa; aunt, Jonna Burkes and husband Jerry of Lake Brownwood; 2 cousins, Josh Burkes of Brownwood, Jay Burkes and wife Rhonda of Lake Brownwood; along with many other family member and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Brown; grandmother, Andrea Abernathy; and uncle, Frankie Woodrum.
