The Pearl Griffin Memorial Latch Key Program will host their annual hamburger supper fundraiser on Tuesday, April 8th from 5-7 PM. This fund raiser is open to the community.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The supper includes a choice of a hamburger or hotdog, chips and a drink. There will also be a bake sale available to purchase desserts.
Tickets are available from any board member, the Latch Key office or purchased at the door. Most of the decorations for this event are created by the children.
Founded in 1983, the Pearl Griffin Memorial Latch Key Program is located at 2411 Coggin Avenue in the First Christian Church in Brownwood, Texas. The program serves children (Pre-K through 6th grade) who qualify from low income families to have after school care so that the children are not left home alone.
Currently, approximately 80 children are served in Brownwood by Latch Key. First Christian Church donates the classroom space and Howard Payne students help as teachers fulfilling two needs, a low cost staff for Latch Key and a job through the Work Study Program for the HPU students. Latch Key is a United Way Organization.
