The Pearl Griffin Latch Key Program honored volunteer Hank Hunter with a presentation of a book for his generous support and hours volunteered.
During the summer of 2013, Hank Hunter with Texas Clean headed up the remodel of the Latch Key Program. Hank volunteered and collected donations to help with the funding of the project, as well as doing much of the work himself, explained Program Director Jessica Hardy.
Recently a small group of children presented Hank with a book on behalf of the entire program that they had made, thanking him for such an amazing job well done.

Founded in 1983, the Pearl Griffin Memorial Latch Key Program is located at 2411 Coggin Avenue in the First Christian Church in Brownwood, Texas. The program serves children (Pre-K through 6th grade) who qualify from low income families to have after school care so that the children are not left home alone. Currently, 80 children are served in Brownwood by Latch Key. First Christian Church donates the classroom space and Howard Payne students help as teachers fulfilling two needs, a low cost staff for Latch Key and a job through the Work Study Program for the HPU students. Latch Key is a United Way Organization.
